I am thinking of selling my 9c and purchasing a full size M&P 9. My current ccw is my Glock 30 so I really don't feel I need 2 compacts being that side by side there isn't much difference between the two in reality. Is there a lot of difference in the shootability (sp) between the 9c and the full size. When the deal is done I will have probably $50 to $70 in the switch. Just want some feedback from those that have fired both weapons. So, what's everyones take on it?

If it were me I would sell the Glock 30 to fund the FS M&P. That way my CCW and house/range gun would be of the same platform. You could even get a filler piece and use FS mags in the compact if you wanted to.

I've shot several FS M&Ps... the 45, 40, and 9mm. I shoot tighter groups with the FS guns compared to my 9c. The longer barrel, and probably more importantly, the longer sight radius, makes a big difference. Heck, I shoot tighter groups with my 45c (4" barrel) compared to my 9c. But even for self defence, my 9c is more than adequate.

I see no reason to get rid of the 9c for a FS 9 if it is going to cost you money. Add a FS mag and grip extension to the 9c, and you have something very close to a FS 9.

If you are a fan of the 45 caliber (and you must since you have a glock 30), did you consider dumping the 9c for a 45c?

I can't help but say this NEVER SELL A GUN. Just kidding as I know how you need to get rid of one to buy another, with that said though let me tell you I sold my FS40 for the 40C and cry every night I dont still have the full size. I love the 40C for carrying however I loved shooting the full size and the compact. I really love them both, and want my full size back. I feel like the little compact misses his big brother.

There is something to be said for getting as much trigger time on your carry piece as possible-training with what you carry. I shoot the M&P9 Pro in IDPA matches, and carry a M&P40 Pro. Same trigger, same furniture & grip, cheaper to shoot. The stock Novak comp sights are better for matches, where there is adequate light, even at night. If you can, try the FS M&P before deciding which compact to sell. My Glocks are collecting dust.

If I already had a 9 compact which I don't I would buy full sized magazines and a set of X-Grips for those magazines, this is what I did with my 40 compact!

It is much cheaper and the gun feels like a full size at the range and looks good as well.
