Zero Bullets retail sales are handled by
Roze Distributors.
Rozedist.com

They are generally ALWAYS SOLD OUT.
You have to get on a list with them then
they notify you when it's your time.

I thought all those old Bullseye shooters used
2,7 or 2.8 grains of BULLSEYE POWDER
over the 148 grain SWEDGED WAD CUTTERS (HBWC).
You can't push them too hard or you risk blowing the skirt
off the slug and leaving it in the barrel.

I use 2.1 grains of Accurate Arms Nitro 100 NF (New Formula) over a 148 Grain Swaged HBWC, I get them from Precision Delta.

Very accurate and pleasant to shoot out of my model 52's.

The only 148 HBWC I could find were Hornady. I used them with 3.0 gr BE. Dead nuts accurate.

I use the Remington Factory Target brass

I bought some springs from Wolff as I had no idea how old they were. The magazine replacement made a difference they are much stronger or "springier":) the recoil spring came in a 3 pack and only the factory weight spring would let the gun function.

I haven't used these particular bullets before, but their .224 jacketed bullets are outstanding for the price.

38-148gr. WC

I've also had friends use some of their plated bullets with great success.

edit: I didn't realize they weren't hollow base before I posted. Will these still work or do they have to be hollow base?

edit#2: I have used precision delta bullets before, again not these exact bullets, but here's some 148gr hollow base WC in stock at the moment.

The extreme may be to hard. (cast) (for the finicky M 52-2) The PD are probably OK, but I do not know the hardness of those either.

Swagged soft bullets work better than cast in the pistol.

There are 2 brands of 148 gr HBWC I like, Hornady and Speer. As I write this Midway shows Speer available for $ 40 a box of 500.

all reloader here in puerto rico use tite group for reload ammo. i buy 100 .38 wc for my 52 and i chambered in my 52 but the slide don't close,i discard this bullets for my revolver 14-4 and 15-4 ppc match. in my pistol i use fiocchi but not cycle, the best in this moment is sellier and bellot and precision bullets .38 hollowbase. i stay in process to have reloading license in Puerto Rico, because here the reloading bullet is a head pain.the police investigate 1 year after the diligence. one of the requeriments is the reloading machine stay out of the residence in other structure outside of the residence and the reloading components are very scarce here.

52 Match Ammo

2.7BE and a HBWC swaged bullet is the defacto recipe. The 52 likes a swaged bullet. When the Sheriff paid for the ammo I shot Remington and Federal Match exclusively. Handloads were done with a Star reloader. I have machine rested several 52s over the years and a really good one will shoot 2" at 50 yds with factory ammo. An average 52 will shoot 3" at 50 yds for the most part. I still shoot mine, but modern pistolsmiths have unlocked the secret of the 9mm and a good custom 1911 in 9mm will run rings around the 52. I don't shoot competitively anymore, but I stay in touch with those who do. The 9mm rules PPC and my PPC 1911 will shoot under 2" at 50 yds with my handloads. The S&W 5906 PPC pistol in the hands of US Border Patrol team member is a nailer. You know you are in the big leagues when they bring plumb lines to align the targets. The 52 was/is a great pistol. Use care in your handloads and avoid any possibility of a double charge of Bullseye powder. Use a good roll crimp to facilitate feeding and sort your brass into lots. The 52 is so lightly stressed I don't think it is possible to wear one out with proper care. They are still a common sight in the local bullseye leagues in my area.

My 52-1 likes 3.1grs of W231 with a 148gr HBWC.
Note: A lot of 52s are real finicky about case length. Trim brass to minimum length.
