But seriously, folks, we are up to 32 deaths in the Metro jurisdiction already this year, call it one every other day, on average. DUI, excessive speed, hit and runs on jay walking pedestrians, and red light runners are the primary causes. This wreck accounted for two.

I love Las Vegas.
My son is stationed at Nellis AFB. I spent 16 days out there thru Christmas and New Years. I didnt want to go back to Indiana.

They drive like hell out there tho. Decatur Drive sounded like a dragstrip every night around 9.

seeing it here in CO. Not unique to Vegas. I think Covid made people stupid. I am seeing more and more people driving very poorly. It almost isn't worth honking your horn because then you are the jerk. I am even more careful when riding my motorcycle. People just don't look.

Yep, that poor car is a P71 Crown Victoria. They had to really be working at it to do that much damage to a Crown Vic.

You see a lot of these idiots in Phoenix, street racing, excessive speeds, etc., I can tell you that. It's becoming a genuine danger just to drive the roads anywhere you go. I hear the same from associates who sometimes travel for work. Idiocy has spread like a cancer in this country...

It's all about distraction. Cell phones are the worst but if you look at the cars around you as you travel on the Southeast Expressway, they are doing everything from eating to having sex. Everything but paying attention to the road. The only saving grace around here is that there is so much traffic you really can't go fast enough to have a bad accident.

Even that solid tank of a car couldn't help at that speed and location of impact. I drove Crown Vic's for over 30 years and fully know what they are capable of. Let's hope no innocent people were killed.

I drove for a living, retired in '16. People drive the same as they always have, there are just So Many More Drivers on the mostly obsolete roads.
My advice to any drivers reading, find another line of work.

From reading local news I would say there are lots of DUI's on our roads.
