It is official ! Gabby Gifford's husband, Mark Kelley will be at the hearing tomorrow to testify in support of SB 1551. This bill is full of unrealistic and just plain "stupid" things. So you lend your nephew your piece and before you can get it back, he has to do a State Police background/ transfer check or it is a felony crime.. If you do firearms training, and lend your owned weapons to the members of the class, you have to do a background /transfer check on all the ones who are using your weapons, and get this, before you can get them transferred back to you, guess what? Yep, a transfer check has to be done on you.
How do these people (elected Reps./Senators) get by in their daily lives? In 33 yrs. of police work, I thought I saw every kind of being stupid you could be, however, trying to understand and reason with these folks just can't be done. I hope I can keep my cool tomorrow and not go off on them. Although I can legally carry concealed in the capitol, I will leave my 66-1 home.
