I want to go through my water well and get it working well. I could call a well contractor, but I need to keep the cost down as much as possible.
I turned off my well last fall for the winter, fired it up last week, it
won't hold a prime. After I prime and run it (works fine) I turn off power and close discharge valve, can hear slight "sssss". Lose prime overnight. I suspect I have a loose hose clamp between pump and foot valve, or possibly dirty foot valve won't seal. Either way, I have to pull the 50 ft of PVC up.
I'd like to replace the PVC, it's 1.25 and 1 inch, it's just plain flexible black PVC, no ribs or anything. Can't find the stuff locally, what I find online seems expensive at more than $2/ft.
Don't want to buy more than I need. Anyone got any help? Thanks!
