Wow, Rusty, a double-whammy if there ever was one. I will pray for healing both for your wife and for her mother, and for peace and confidence and resilience for you and them as well. It is at times like this, when we feel so helpless, that praying for our loved ones to be made whole in Him is all that we can do. It is enough, though, and knowing that He has all their needs well in hand, and will do what is best for the children He loves so much, will give you some serenity about all of this. I know that things are a whirlwind right now, and that it's easy to get caught up in the storm, but if you can find a way to speak quietly and personally with Him, He will hear you. Godspeed to all.

And I too think the suggestion of the aforementioned kidney transplant is a great one.

My son offered his life long friend one of his kidneys after both of his friends failed. It was not a match. He lost his friend.

It would be a noble thing for your wife's mother to give your wife new life.
