Just checked, in my corner of the Flint Hills of Kansas we are 90 degrees warmer than we were one week ago (73 today, -17 last Tuesday)! Probably going to be going from the wind chill discussion and start discussing heat index by the end of the week.

I have just seen a news report about the weather in Texas. Despite it still being winter there the temperatures in the next few days will be the same, if not hotter, than the Kiwiland late summer ones where I live, in the high 70's F.

A squirrel ran across a window sill and the kittens decided that the holes in the screen weren't big enough.

Yes sir, we also have that schizophrenic weather here in Central Texas today. Admittedly, some might be hot air from bragging about Texas. What we say down here is that you never ask a man where he is from. If he is from Texas he will tell you and if he isn't, you don't want to embarrass him.

The weather just broke here too. After weeks of bitter cold, terrible wind chill, and snow stacked so high we couldn't stack it any more, it's mid-40s and sunny.

I thought Pittsburgh area was the only place with psycho weather! All the river valleys & hills & tunnels, not only does the weather differ from one side of town to the other, if you ask for directions, they aren't lying when they say "Well, you really can't get there from here."

We get second place in the temperature swing contest here in the DFW area. A week ago, it was -7, today it was 81, for an 88 degree change. We're still dead last in the energy reliability contest, however.

Boys, you might as well enjoy the weather today. It's the only weather we're gonna get.

Dad also advised us to stay out of hospitals. People die there, ya know?

Yesterday it was 39 and last week it was 10 and wind chill of -15 so it is close to normal for Northern Illinois.

After that long stretch of sub zero temps and/or wind chills we had, being back at “normal” temps in the 30’s to low 40’s never felt so good. Usually i whine and complain about anything that cold but 40 yesterday felt like spring.
Well, still not enough to drop the top on our convert though lol

After a frigid Michigan winter, the first day it's over 30 degrees and sunny you see all the college kids wearing shorts, t-shirts, and flip-flops.

It was 55 degrees yesterday here in cornfields and cows country with 50's and high 40's forecasts for the remainder of the week. Still snow on the ground but it won't last long.

My son wore shorts and a T-shirt today to school! (I made him put on a sweatshirt too). This must be a function of young people everywhere. And it only took him a week of below zero temps to be ready to bust out the shorts!

During our subzero snap i saw a guy out shopping in shorts and a hoodie, and a young lady in a short exercise top and no jacket.

All i could think of was the guy either was very tough or had some beverages flowing lol. The gal definitely was wearing a “look at me” outfit. I did look, to see if she had any frostbite.

Thankfully, the global warming was just barely able to keep the entire world from going into an Ice Age.
