Came across a seller on GB that had 8-457 mags and 9-3919 mags, all S&W at $14.99 each!
Grabbed 3-457 mags, cause that’s all I needed. All lock up just fine. The rest were gone the next morning!
Sure wish stuff like this could get shared without getting dinged:(

It happens...just depends on if the guys enforcing "rules" are
bidding too!

That’s rude of you to say that. We don’t play those games here. Lee could intercept every new ad and cherry pick the good deals for resale, but he doesn’t. He wouldn’t allow that from the staff either.

We can’t catch all rule violations, but we try hard.

This is from our rules:
11. NO Links to current or upcoming auctions or promotion of current or upcoming auctions or discussion of current or upcoming auctions, even in vague and general terms, or GunsAmerica ads, Guns International ads, or other internet listing sites should be posted without permission.
Do NOT participate in discussion of current auctions or ads.
Links to CLOSED auctions and ads are permitted.

Note the parts I emphasized in bold - No discussion about online ads or auctions. There’s a reason for this rule.

It’s not that we wouldn’t like members to be able to share good deals or receive advice before buying/bidding. We simply can’t permit it. This forum represents a large target audience for all things S&W. A lot of sellers would love to advertise their sales on the forum and they can be very creative. If we allowed links or even discussion, sellers would flood the board with posts promoting their sales. Do you really want that sort of garbage littering the board?

Then ONLY thing "it" depends on is whether we catch the posted links or not. This is a large board and we cannot catch all the posts all the time, but I think we do a pretty good job of it thanks to all the members who help us out by reporting these types of violations.

Believe it or not, we cannot read every post, nor do we spend every waking hour on this forum. As someone I once knew was fond of saying "Your entitled to your opinion no matter how wrong it is!".

BTW: s&wchad did an excellent job explaining why we don't allow links, and I suggest you read it twice.

That's an insult to my Staff that I won't let go. Implying that the reason they don't allow auction or ad discussion so that they can get all the good deals is ridiculous. It is also wrong. See Post 5.
The Moderators here work for free, and they have done a virtually thankless job for years with very little appreciation. They have made this board what it is. Most even donate to this board to help keep it going!
If our rules overtax your ability to cope, I suggest you look around the great big ol' internet for a place that suits you better.

You'll have time. ;)

Mods, No offense intended on my part. Sorry that someone took it to the next level.

Maybe it was said tongue in cheek? I’ve done that although mine more represents foot in mouth.
I would think the error would be noted now.

I sold my 4566 a short time ago, I ended up selling if I remember 11 4506 magazines to a forum member. I still look for these mags at gun shows etc.
