Fabulous weekend!!

Went to dinner with wife and both daughters and their spouses, younger daughter has a 10 month old boy that is the apple of grandpa's eye, older daughter handed us a wrapped package out of the blue. Opened to find a framed sonogram of her lil bun in the oven. Due in November, he/she will be our 8th grandchild between us ( I have four stepsons). They (older daughter & SIL) have been trying for better than a year so prayers have been answered:). While we have our difficulties (wife is still undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer and I have had to shut down my shop to care for her) we feel blessed beyond our wildest dreams to have our kids and grandkids.

Well Dutchguy, we did have a good weekend. Thought we were going to get some rain but we haven't yet. Still a chance though. I've got to get started on my taxes like BaldEagle1313 said he is doing and that is worse than going to the dentist.

Thanks for asking.

Yes, thanks for asking. Mrs rock doc & I did yard work since the weather was sunny & dry for a change. I am sore from head to toe and it hurts as I type this.

Ditto

Planted 3 trees, 11 bushes, spread mulch (had to load the 20 bags myself at Lowes, the kid who was supposed to help me that worked there slinked off........he was right next to me at the checkout when the lady told him that I purchased 20 bags.....little punk ......why do employers tolerate such laziness? I figured wait him out or do it myself......I did it myself)

Tilled side of yard, spread seed/straw

Wife took 11 wheelbarrow loads of rock, sticks to back of property (thankfully downhill)

Then weed eat, and mow

I feel like I've been beat

Stinks getting old

Yes. Got most of the spring cleaning done and restocked the pantry.
I also bought a car.

Hm. Type restocked and it auto corrects to.....testicles.
Who programs this stuff?

My weekend started early. Friday was a no-school day for most of my routes. I only had to drive one short a.m. route that didn't start until 8:30. We got about 4" of wet snow overnight, so it was pretty slick. It's also the kind where if the snowplow driver berms you in before you get out, you might be in your driveway for a while.

The day got better, but on Saturday morning, my internet crashed. My Iphone worked on wifi, but switched back and forth with 3g. I had wifi signals on two ipads and a laptop, but could load no pages. I spent an hour and a half on a service rep whose accent was impenetrable, and who was so far away it was still Friday. She would have been shocked if I knew how to swear in Hindi.

She concluded I need a new modem, which will be here on Tuesday. Meanwhile, it was working again by Saturday afternoon.

Great weekend! Wife and I went to Tulsa,. The safe has a new revolver and rifle in it.

Sat at the gun show all weekend. The gate was meagre to say the least and I didn't sell squat. Sat on an uncomortable chair all weekend. I did manage to read 'Armies of the Raj" abou the British Army in India; a good read. About the only time I get to read is when I'm behind the table at a gun show. For the next gun show, it's 'La Guerre Cruelle' by Paul Bonnecarrière about the war in Algeria.

My grandson and I went to the Tulsa gunshow. In that huge show it's good to take your own gun bearer. :) Last fall I let him carrt 1,000 rounds of .223 for a while. He thought one of his arms was a little longer at the end of the day. I can't seem to go to that show without bringing home a firearm, this year was a couple of old .22s.
