Welp my goal this year was to run a few cylinders through each of my working guns, once a week. The weekly schedule turned into biweekly, then monthly. Then finally it was pretty much no shooting at all.
I finally got out this morning and I admit to a bunch more cylinders than a few.
Just thought I share a quick picture of my target, the last two cylinders through a newer style 63 and 629.
Single action, two handed standing at 20 yds.
Pretty rusty and too much coffee but here it is.

Sorry for the rotational error

Anyone else get a chance to go out this weekend?

If the weather permits I'll be going out during the week. Both handgun ranges are almost empty during "work" days. But, that's some nice shooting IMO. Close enough to protect yourself from 2-legged wackos! I'm pretty happy with myself if I hit the air in front of me!
I'm planning on trying to run a box of .327FMs and then whatever else revolver or pistol that jumps into the bag. I promised another Forum member I'd send him all my spent .327s, but I don't have enough right now to make it worth my while...but I will soon! I haven't fired my dad's K22 in a long time & it needs some love. That and my 629-6 six inch actually hit where I aim, but one hurts my hand too fast if I'm not using .44 Spl. So I have a reason to get out of the city for a couple hours.

At one time in my life for a several year period, I fired 1000 rounds a week. I was teaching Combat Handgun and Combat Shotgun. Spent most of the week on the range.

Now that I have retired I spend three days a week on the range. Two days of rifle and one of handgun. I still practice, practice & practice. Keeps from getting rusty!

These days about the only shooting I get done is a combat match I run once a month and a bowling pin shoot once a month. I've got a bunch of guns I've never shot and even more that have been to the range only once.

Hopefully that will change when I get my upcoming move behind me!

Not bad shooting ironworker. Going from 44 mag to 22 lr is one heckuva spread! I've done that a few times at the range and wow, what a change. It lets you know if you have a flinch shooting the 44 mag. I should scold you for not shooting seeing as your range is your back yard but I'll give you a pass. :D You can catch up when you retire.

I think that's pretty good. Can't say I can do better. I shoot once a week. 50 rounds of rimfire then 100 rounds of centerfire. This week it was the High Standard 10X .22 and S&W 657 .41. I seem to have forgotten to take a picture of two targets with the 657. Ooops. 25 rounds per target. 4" black center at 15 yards, which is sadly as far as the indoor ranges go around here.

I suppose that training sessions depend upon one's goals. Some folks want to shoot matches of one kind or another. Others want to keep in practice for hunting season, while some want to keep sharp for EDC. I shoot handguns weekly at an indoor range with a buddy. There are plenty of computerized programs to keep it interesting and I can make up my own programs too! I average around 200 rounds per week. It isn't just for the training. It also is recreation for me and a social activity. Reloading keeps me from getting bored during my non-shooting days.
