Weird discovery about M&P .45 Sear Housing Block - It's exactly same as 9mm/40

Continuing my epic search for the hard to find 9mm sear housing block with updated 1/8" sear spring & plunger, I stumbled upon Brownell's website and found this sear housing block in stock last week. (it's out of stock again this week) Part #: 393760000

I ordered it and thought it was for my 9mm M&P without reading the description too much... And when I came back to check on the description... It clearly indicates it is for .45 M&P ONLY...

I emailed them to cancel the order but it was already too late, they said they processed it...

When I got the sear housing block today, upon further inspection, the only difference between this .45 M&P sear housing block and my 9mm is the ejector length!!! Everything else is EXACTLY the same...

So I took the ejector from my 9mm and installed on this one, then put on my Apex sear and the Apex sear spring (1/8"), and voila!!!! It fits perfect in my 9mm M&P.

Really happy I ordered the .45 sear housing block from Brownell by mistake, as it is even cheaper than the 9mm one and was at the time the only sear housing block in stock.

P.S. This is for the thumb safety model M&P, without the big round internal lock, comes with mag safety, which can be removed easily.

Did you install the thumb safety parts into the new sear housing block? How hard was it to swap the ejector?

The replacement sear housing block from a .45 performed flawlessly at range.

Wife's first time using my M&P and the result looks pretty satisfactory to me.
