I got a great deal on an old Hornady Pro-Jector Progressive and I am sending off the $250 for it tommorow, It will come with the full priming system in the plastic I think like 13 shellplates, it is a 5 hole press and accepts Lee dies, but I am going to probably post here a heck of a lot for help and I am looking for someone in my area to help me a little because this really doesn't seem very simple, BTW what kind of powder do you guys recommend for a 3.5 barrel and a 1 7/8 barrel gun?

At least have some 231, and Unique on hand. Bullseye would be good too, as well as AA#2, AA#5, and maybe HS-6.

When you are reloading, don't have on a radio, TV, or anyone to distract you other than someone there with you who knows what he's doing. It is far too easy to get distracted and have a major malfunction, if you catch my drift.

It is pretty easy once you do it a few times and your confidence grows. You never stop learning though, and you'll find that you want to do more and more of it, as well as calibers.

Make sure you get a inertia bullet puller. You will need one to recover some of your mistakes. I don't know how your primer situation is in your area, but you may want to start looking now for some.
Once you start reloading you won't look back. Your only regret will be you did not start sooner.
You may want to check out some You Tube videos. There are some out there that will really help you see how everything goes together.
Better yet though, find yourself a good mentor.
This site also helped me a ton.....and still does ! Good Luck :)

Everybody's given you sound advice already. Lot's of folks'll be glad to help. Because most of us recall the mistakes we made!
Your journey Grasshopper, will not be complete without this step.
It's your only true path to enlightenment and jaded old fartdom.

I shoot thousands of my .40 S&W reloads at the PD range. I only use 180 grain bullets and use two loads: 4.5 grains of Titegroup or 6.3 grains of Power Pistol. Both are very clean shooting powders.
