So, I now own a Shield 9mm, an SD9VE 9mm, And an M&P 4 inch .45 ... First S&W Semi-Auto's I've owned since a 411 blew up on me back in the early 90's ( I also own an older Mod.19 that I wouldn't trade for any thing ) I've spent some time familiarizing myself with them but have been too busy working to go to the range ... Range day is tomorrow, I like the way they feel and am interested to see how well they shoot for me (or how well I shoot them) ... Looking forward to this, First new guns in a long time.

Congrats. I just bought a Shield 9 myself yesterday and put about 100 rounds thru it. After shooting it, I could only ask myself why I hadn't gotten it sooner. I was really impressed with it. I didn't get to shoot today but I plan on running another couple of boxes thru it tomorrow. Enjoy

Going to the range today myself, this is my last day off for some time, took a week off to teach myself a new skill (cerakoting) id have to say it was a success, ive learned a whole heck of alot in a short period of time.
Congrats stich on your new purchase, i have a shield too, i dont see how you could go wrong with one, i love mine.
In fact thats the gun thats under my pillow at night!

Congratulations on the Shield 9mm purchase! I bought mine last Memorial Day. $434.39 includes IL tax and back round check. With it I received a new 1 year membership to the LGS&R. I have put over 600 rds. through mine with no issues! Very accurate for a 3" barrel.

Well I gotta' say I am impressed so far with that little Shield !
I was able to shoot 4 roughly 3 inch groups right at point of aim from 15 yards on a 11 x 18 target, And that's pretty darn good for me ! ... I moved out to 25 yards and the SD9VE spread out a bit but stayed on the target ... The 45 was about 3 inches low but by the time it started pouring rain I had it to only about an inch low. ... That's good for some one who has been spoiled by 1911's for 40 years ... I give credit here to the pistols, And I found the triggers to be just fine which surprised the heck out of me. ... I think I like these Tupperware guns.
My Ruger American 30-06 was Absolutely dead on POA at 450 yards ... A good day at the range.
No pictures, my camera is in Nebraska with my Wife.
