So what am I talking about and what the hell just happened? Well it's raining so I'm at the computer passing the time while I wait for a break and sitting in front of fan since it's humid and I have the door open so I can get some air, said screen door I have is...tattered,thanks to the kitties.

So I'm here and I hear a big,and I do mean BIG,buzz so I look up and there's this inch long,reddish-brown EVIL looking so and so of a bee in here with me! aw-hell-no! Hornet spray would work but not in the house please, flyswatter? no way I want to go play tag with that in here with a flyswatter,a tennis racket would be better, thing is big enough, that's for sure.

Maybe if I ignore him he'll just go away...........

No dice,I can't think straight and I'm having visions of him alighting on me and commencing a bee Jihad of some sort-fine I have to do something, but just what the hell can I do?

A few minutes of thinking under my chair and I remember the Pug,yes the .22 Mag revolver of mine, now .22 mag shotshells may be the ticket...but I dunno about cutting loose in the house with that! ok I have some reg .22 LR shotshells too,I know no .22 LR in a mag cylinder but, dammit, I have to do something this floor is hard!

So I load one up,don a full face shield I have for weed trimming, and shoo it off the lamp (don't wanna shoot the bulb out) and wait a sec til he lands-glaring evil at me for shooing him.

And that's pretty much the last thing he did,he landed on the edge of the lamp shade with enough space for me to take a shot, and you'know what? it worked! bit noisy, but hey I got the sucker!

Please post pictures of the "Trophy Mount" when you get back from the taxidermist!:D

More like a lamp diffuser now, I bet...

The lamp shade is fine,it's heavy cloth so the shot just bounced off,and that's why I used the shotshells, they don't tear stuff up around the house.

@Lynn pics?....ok,odd request you wanna see a blown-up bug

That's all I could find.

Whoa, shooting bugs sounds so fun. I gotta get out of the city :D

Well,un,I waited for the bugger to land, but you could try for shooting bugs on the wing with a .22 with shotshells-like duck hunting but indoors! :D

Just don't point it at the TV or PC screen, they may damage that anything else should be ok the stuff just bounces off.

You guys have Palm bugs I hear,if I lived down there I'd be stocking up on .22 shotshells and my place would sound like the Tet offensive

I'd have a hard time convincing a judge I was discharging a firearm in the city limits because I was in fear of my life from a palmetto bug. They do get big enough to shoot though.
