Unfortunately I ordered a $5.99 Fish Sandwich at Wendy's.

What I received bore no resemblance to most Fish Sandwiches.

The outer layers were Extremely Dark Brown.

Every bite resulted in a CRUNCHY sound like eating potato chips.

I should have called for a manager.

I was running behind and did not have time to deal with it.

At least the fries were reasonably good.

Dave is getting my complaint.

How can Stan and Ollie mess up automated timed fryers ? ?

A friend of mine had been an assistant manager at Wendy's in the early 70's. His Manager was one of Wendy's older and better-looking sisters. My wife was too young to have Wendy in any of her High School classes but, another friend and 3 of my wife's cousins were in school from 2nd grade on up with her. As the business took off, the boys decided she looked better all the time! At the last I heard, Wendy owns two different area franchises, and of course all of Dave's kids are major shareholders.

Originally the chili was made in store, and they used up over cooked hamburgers as the meat. Later, they have a central commissary that makes the chili.

As to American Youth being able to push a button on the automatic deep fry timer... That rates right up there with showing up to work on time. Or getting your hamburger order made correctly.

Enough daydreaming about the little red headed girl around the corner.

Never had Wendy Fish, didn’t actually know they had one.
After these reports, I’ll stick to their Burgers and Salads.

I've never tried Wendy's, but I have had good luck with Arby's fish sandwiches, McDonald's on the other hand tastes good, but $6+ is kinda pricey for 3 or 4 bites.

Arby's has the best fish sandwich of any fast food place.

Not sure if it's nationwide, but the one I go to only has fish from mid December till around Easter.

I used to like their bacon cheeseburgers. Used to down them when pressed for time. No longer pressed for time, so I don't do fast food anymore.

Bet that fish sammich was twice cooked/double buttoned. Running behind schedule back when I worked for a living, I'm sure I'dve just crammed it down, too.

Yesterday the McDonald's price for Fish Sandwich was $7.99.

This morning I saw Burger King sign with $3.99 Fish Sandwich.

Will give them a chance.

However, the one "fast food" fish sandwich that I've found to be worth getting, is Arby's, when they have it.

Any that I've had, and it has been far, far more than a few, have always been very good!

I highly recommend them!

Late note: I'm sorry I missed wood714's post, he beat me too it

I'm sorry I missed your post, before I posted.

I always look forward to when Arby's brings them out!

Only place to get a consistently good fish sandwich is Culver's. As for complaining at a fast food restaurant you're just wasting your breath.

Years ago the Culver's here had walleye fish sandwich which was great. The cod fish now is good. Had a Arby's fish not long ago, it wasn't too bad.

Hard to imagine eating any fast food on a regular basis. Two or three times a year while traveling is plenty and that can often be avoided.
