Went out for a BBQ and.........

Those of ya'll who know me know Wednesday is my BBQ day, has been for the past thirty-five years or so.

Well, last Wednesday, went over to the BBQ place and came away with this: (In addition to my usual)

Seems a friend of mine there had a 2 1/2" Model 19 and wanted a 4", while I had a 4" and wanted another 2 1/2", so, gun for gun, we swapped.

This is a Model 19-3, pinned and recessed.

Thats a beauty of a Mod 19 snubby. I'd have traded too.

I live in Memphis. We don't do beef BBQ.

Yup. BBQ, like watermelon, is best when messiest.

Wear a dark brown or maroon shirt. Stains show up less.

Which BBQ, Bob? Leonard's, Blues City Cafe, Corky's, etc? God, I love Memphis, if nothing else for the food and entertainment!
 
Now Texans have beef BBQ although you can sometimes get pork BBQ too. I lived in Memphis some years past and remember Leonards when it was up on Bellevue at N. Parkway (I think). Another favorite was Berettas BBQ at Park and Highland. Wow, that seems like a lifetime ago.
 
Nice trade. I'd love to find a nice blue 19 snubbie. Love blue guns. All I have is a 2 1/2" nickel 19.

Oh, that is very nice! A real gentleman's gun. Ah, Memphis is such a great town. Good food, GREAT music and good looking womens. Now I love BBQ'd pig as much as any boy but y'all need to try it on some beef. I grew up in Kansas City and we BBQ everything up there. If it moves it can be BBQ'd.
 
I spent a couple of years in NC. Now there is BBQ with the southern slaw on the side.

the Closest I have came to it since leaving NC is a chain resturant called Memphis BBQ and they serve a great BBQ Pork sandwich
