Next to the prison i work at is a Veterans cemetary an my boss was invited to attend the memorial Day ceremony. Well she had other things to do, so I went in her place. i took one Sergeant and one Officer with me.
The service was very nice, the Korean War Vets provided the color guard, the Vietnam War vets provided the Table of Rememberance.
I saw a few WWII vets and Korean War Vets in the Audience, as well as VietnamWar and some active duty vets. the had an American legion band, and a Celtic drum and bugle group with bagpipes and at the end they played taps.
I felt humbled in their presence.
