We've come a long way baby!

Got my first cell phone in 1999 - 2000, refused to keep it on unless I was going to make a call, one of the ten or so I made a month, I hated it, until September 11, 2001, when my wife was on an American Airlines flight that morning. God I was never so happy to hear her voice when that damn thing rang.

I get tired of my cell phone, but I can't live without it. A few years ago I dropped service and went about a month without it. The peace and quite was awesome, but now with a family and a buisiness I have to have one. I have an android smart phone and there isn't one hour that goes by that I'm not useing it for something. I even use it for talking sometimes.

My folks built a new house in 1948. It had INDOOR PLUMBING!!

When it gave my folks some trouble, my Granddad said " That's what you get for crapping in the house!"

When we came back to Connecticut after WW II, we had phone service (came up to our house during the war). Onr phone # was 1131W3, when it rang three times it was for us. I got a cell phone about 10 years ago, but only use it to make an occasional call. Drives my kids nuts that it isn't on 24/7, and that I don't know how to access text messages. And I'm only 77.
