WH weighs broad gun control agenda

Wow is right. The WH is going to try for even more than Feinstein is. I hope there are enough 2a supporting politicians left to stop this. I fear too many will compromise and the result will be ugly. Perhaps all that panic buying was justified :(

At the White House meeting, Stanek said, "the vice president indicated that there was a very short timeline for him to get back to the president with his recommendations because the American public has a short memory."
Fits right into their program of never letting a crisis go to waste.

saw this on Drudge; very unfortunate.

Don't the libs control the senate and house? With Obama, Feinstein, et al., there, can't they basically get anything they want passed?

The house has a Republican majority. That being said, not sure who actually "controls" the house.

Frankly, I would like to see Feinstein just offer an amendment to repeal the 2nd. That might just wake up these apathetic folks, who, think bans on assault rifles is ok, because their ability to shoot some duck is preserved. It might also add some honesty into the debate as to what their real motives include. Today a 30 round magazine, tomorrow a three round magazine, the next day your black powder flint lock. Wake up!!!!!The red coats are coming! To arms to arms!!!!!!!

That means nothing. Republicans are losing seats throughout the country and they are going to sway towards the democrats to try to keep their popularity. A bunch of republicans already called for assault weapons ban as well.

With democrats buying hispanic votes through amnesty, more and more seats would go to democrats, not only in Florida, and Pennsylvania, but also in NC, VA, MO, AL, TX, AZ, NM, IN,AR, GA, SC, etc. The US issues 140,000 green cards to foreign PhD and engineers (lots of them leaving the USA in frustration and they would prosper in their home country to compete against the USA), yet Obama would issue 20 million green card to illegal aliens, also I heard that democrats are working secrectly to speed up the citizenship for these people because these guys have already stay in the USA (illegally) for many years, of course, this helps the democrats to gain another 20 million supporters overnight.

Romney's defeat will be a monumental event, because the demographic change in the USA means Democrats will be dominating for many years to come!

I am democrat 10 years ago and now strongly opposing 95% of their political agenda!

Not to get to deep into politics I think which ever side offers the best freebies will be the side that gets elected. Seems like more and more people wanna know whats in it for them more then they care about anything else are working to earn a living.

Well at the rate we are going, our economy is going to collapse before all those illegal immigrants get a chance to become a citizen.

I have no doubt in my mind that she would love to do just that. They are not going to be that direct about it, because it may just wake the sheople from their left wing media delivered brainwash. They will disarm the people a little at a time. This round they take auto loading rifles and mags caps > 10. Next round they take even more. They will leave the 2nd amendment alone, but only so they can snicker at its mere existence after they have eroded any purpose that it ever served.

I have written my representatives. The responses that I received from the liberals were expected. The responses that I received from the "conservatives" scares me.

Take it for what it's worth, but my plan is to no longer purchase guns that require background checks. Face to face only, the less they know I have the better. And stock up on ammo!!

I hope I'm wrong but what they can't obtain through bipartisan legislation will be put into effect through executive action.

Hey, folks! We haven't lost this fight! Frankly, I think there's a very intensional effort to shock and dispirit folks who believe in the 2A. It's time to channel our anger in appropriate and lawful ways. Contact everyone you know who even MIGHT be on our side. Encourage them to yank the heck out of every chain that exists in D.C. Write snail mail. Send Emails. Make phone calls. And keep doing so!

I have a growing sense that Sen. Feinstein may have woken a dog she should have left asleep! Let's make it so!

There's this, too: Over the next couple weeks, about 80% of working America is going to get payroll checks which reflect tax increases which current gun grabbers promised them would NOT be there. Remember Emperor Emmanuel's political dictum: "Never let a crisis go to waste." (waggle eyebrows)
