I just got a new belt from The Beltman the other day. Yesterday I decided to carry my 3" 629 using a Simply Rugged Sourdough Pancake and my new belt. It was a whole new experience for me to carry a heavy gun in such comfort. It stayed tight to my body and didn't sag at all. It was money well spent

None better!! You made a great investment, you better like it as you won't wear it out.

People who have never had a proper gunbelt simply have a hard time understanding the difference they make.

I buy nothing but Beltmans.

I have an advantage by not wearing underwear. The holster gets a nice "stick" to my skin and that helps support it and keep it from moving around. With a good belt the "stick" works less hard and the gun is able to shift less. Nevertheless, a good belt is more comfortable by far and I would spend the money for a Beltman belt (thank you for the millionth time, Wyatt, for the recommendation) again in a heartbeat.

A proper belt is, indeed, necessary.

However, a friend asked me the other day what he could do to solve his OWB carriage problem with the gun/holster sagging.

Checked his setup; lo and behold he had failed to pass his belt through the belt loop behind the holster. Oops!

Took just about 30 seconds to solve that problem.

On occasion I have actually had tailors move belt loops that interfered with my OWB position.
i.e. I always ensure there is a used belt loop behind the holster, proper.

Be safe.

Just ordered my beltman a couple of days ago,via all the praise on here about them.

1 1\2 double bullhide with the stiffener, 7 holes, I think 87 bucks shipped.

The elephant belt is priced at $199, a bit too much champaign priced for my beer budget.

So buy a bullhide one for $75 or so.

Hi Dusty,

Just checking here - did you used to hang out at the Placerville Youth Center when you were in your teens? I used to know a Dusty Miller ages ago.

Well I guess that explains your moniker Flopshank..( sorry I couldn't resist) "The Devil made me do it"

Funny, I was thinking maybe Mr.flop-shank should spend a little less money on a belt and invest in some underwear

Don't think I'd want to buy a used IWB holster from flop-shank. It might be a little too "broken-in" for me.

As a proud owner, I will say, they are worth every penny.
Best,
Gary

I was wondering why Beltman automatically includes the stiffener on the shark and elephant. K-22 is the elephant belt still pretty stiff?

I agree, I've seen his belts and others. But, I notice you live in Ohio. I found (and wear) 1/4" X 1 1/2" wide sturdy, saddle leather belts at more than half that price. In Holmes county made by the Amish. Great belts for holster carry rigs.
