I have an aquaintance that has a 57-1 that is in outstanding cond (98%) has no box or tools with it, but is a 4" mountain gun stye in nickel. He is looking to sell it for around $600.00 is this reasonable?

Don't believe that it would be a mountain gun. The 57 mountain gun was a 57-5 released in 2005 and was blue only. All mountain guns have a tapered barrel. The 57-1 should have a standard barrel

Still not a bad price on a 4".

I think you should look closely at that revolver because a few things don't sound right. If it's a modified Frankengun then it's up to you if you want to pay that much.
