What are all of the 8-Shot S&W wheel guns?

I'm looking to put together a list of all the S&W 8-Shot Revolvers. Model 27s, 327s 627s ect... all dashes and all different barrel lengths. I also want to include any special distributor editions. (Lew Horton, Sports South, Talo ect...) I need a check list. Thanks in advance....

Im looking for a list of all the 8-Shot revolvers by S&W. .357mag, 38spcl, 22lr, .38 super. Did they ever make a 9mm in a 8-shot?

Your best bet is to order the Standard Catalog of Smith and Wesson. It will answer all your questions AND give you the product codes for all the configurations. Asking folks to list the models is pretty extreme. It would be like asking Ford to list all of their pick-up trucks with V8 engines.

Sorry, only 2 9mm formats ever produced. The 940 J-frame and 547 K-frame, though I did see someone's 627 that they had had converted to shoot 9mm. Guessing that they used 38 super moonclips . . .

The catalog is basically a collector's encylopedia of all things Smith and Wesson. It will list every variation and barrel length ever produced up until it was published a few years ago. This is an invaluable reference:

The new 627 you show is 357 while the 38 spcl on the spec sheet is a misprint.
