What are ya loadin' today?

I'm about ready to assemble some 221 Fireball for a 10" contender, I need to do up a batch of Hornet for a 10" contender also. It is almost time to start picking off ground hogs.

Rim Rock 158 LSWC HP w/gc over 5.4 grains of Power Pistol. It's the max .38 load, and the starting .38 +P load according to Speer. Clocks at about 920 fps out of my 5" Pre-27, and a surprising 960 fps out of my 15-4.

Fast enough to expand, based on the jello tests I've seen. :)

I have a boatload of starline 38spl +p brass and Speer LSWCHP bullets I am going to go through. Ramshot Silhouette powder and RemSP primers make for a great practice load in my snubbies.

Then it's off to finish my case prep work on the inventory of 30-06 and 223. 223 just needs to be primed and sorted. The 06 requires almost the normal case work.

I am debating how I want to tackle the 9mm and 40s&w inventory. With limited primers on hand, I need to make the most of it all.

Just finished up 150 rounds of 44 specials. 240 grain lswc and 5 grains of Bullseye.

500 rounds of 9mm JHP with the bullet being Nosler 115 grain JHP at 1200 FPS.

We've had cool weather the last couple of weeks so every few nights I've been runnin' the tumbler. (I don't like to run it in the summer in 115degF heat.

I had thousands of .45 and .40 to get sparkly. I have about 6-800 more to go, then the workups begin.

I have to start from scratch with new loads 'cause my usual suspects are -ahem- sold out...

Tomorrow is the first batch!!:D

got ready to load some 380 ACP today for the first time and found out that my Lee auto disk doesn't dispense the small amount of powder required by the recipe. So I did some more 40 S&W instead.

Nothing, have powder/primers and cases, went to Sportsmans Warehouse, they were sold out of .357,.41 and .44 cast lead, plated or jacketed anything :(
May have to thow rocks for a while...

I had an opportunity

I'm about ready to assemble some 221 Fireball for a 10" contender, I need to do up a batch of Hornet for a 10" contender also. It is almost time to start picking off ground hogs.

I was with a friend who had loaded some VERY hot .22 hornet for his TC. He let me shoot a few and they rocked me back on my heels. I know they were way overloaded because the cases were really hard to extract. He must have used pure nitroglycerin for propellant.

Loaded 500 rounds of 9mm 124 grain Hornady RN over 5.5 grains Power Pistol after work yesterday. I started with range brass I had put in the vibrator the night before.

Lights on, setup, production, cleanup, lights out = two hours. This included the time it took to flip and load primers as well as take quality checks (powder weight, COAL, crimp gage) every hundred rounds.

It's wadcutter weekend again! 3.0 grains of 231, Mastercast DE wadcutter and win SPP. Need to crank out at least a thousand.

working up a reduced load for 44special and 38 special wife got a detective special snubnose and the 125 gr cast with 5.1 bye was too hot going to go with a 148 gr cast HBWC with 2.8 and 3.1 beye load for 38
The 44 special worked good for her wth 12 gr 2400 behind a 200 gr JHP but she would like less fire and smoke in her 3" barrel so dropping to 10 gr load 18 each to try I bought 1000 lg pistol magnum (only thing left) and 1000sm pistol prmer 3 weeks ago good timin on my part cant find large rifle primers now and down to last 200

7.62x39 and LOTS of them. My 550B is currently set up for .357 Magnum. On a whim I put a piece of 7.62x39 brass into one of the stations and it fit perfectly. My .300 Savage powder actuator should work for dispensing powder. Looks like I already have everything I need to load high volume 7.62x39.

I'm going to visit a friend next week who has a Marlin 1894 chambered in .357 Magnum. Thought I'd make up a hundred of these old Hornady 160 Grain Steel Plate bullets (over 14 grains of 2400).

This afternoon I loaded 500 Penn Bullets 125 Fp in .38 spl over 4.5 of VV-N320. Nice load for the range and for the snubbies.

.45 Colt, 250g home cast SWC's, and prepping .22 Jet brass.
Been working up loads for a .30-30 bolt action lately using Hornady 160g Leverevolution bullets and powder, also with spitzer bullets, found a pretty good load with spitzers and boattails seated out to load single shot in my Savage 840, too long for magazine but work great one at a time. Love the BA .30-30.
Also playing with .380 lrn and .40 S&W 160g Raniers.
Hoping to alloy some lead/tin and cast a bunch of different bullets soon, waiting on the weather to warm up. I bought a piece of property with a 30 year old trailer on it, converting the kitchen area to an indoor casting shop, i can stay warm and do what I need without worrying about rain, etc.
