I thought I’d be a little retro and decided to carry my cougar 8000 F.

Holster is a strong right side OWB with thumb snap retention. The cougar carries nicely. It’s about 2/3 the weight of a third generation Smith, but feels tighter to the hip in this holster and carries quite easily.

What’s your carry today?

A small Swiss Army knife. The U frowns on anything better. I have a Stoeger Cougar, very nice piece. Beretta failed when they didn't make it so 92 mags would work.

When I'm on my bike I carry a Sig 365X Spectre Comp. Otherwise it's my 640 Pro this time of year. Cold weather its either a M19 Carry Comp or a M586 L-Comp, all revolvers are cut for moon clips.

Ruger LCP is my normal daily carry and has been for a while. Light, compact and it has always worked perfectly for me. I've carried other guns at times but I like and trust the little Ruger.

Pretty boring I guess. 95%-99% of the time I carry the same firearm all day everyday. My current EDC of choice is the CSX which I transitioned to about a year ago from my beloved Springfield Micro Compact 1911 .45acp which I had EDC for almost 18 years.
I do vary my holsters abit depending on tasks. Working outside in the current 90-100*/ 90% humidity requires a Kydex On Your 6 Designs OWB holster. When I rarely leave the house to run errands I usually carry IWB in another On Your 6 Designs holster. Just hanging around the house I have gone to a CrossBreed Snap Slide Hybrid OWB holster for it's comfort.

The same old boring 1911, in the same old King Tuck holster that I have been carrying for decades. This old dog don't need no new tricks. I havent changed because I haven't found an improvement.tuck.JPG

Seems to have loosened up over the years and the rough outside texture that is supposed to keep it in the pocket is not as effective. It too sometimes comes out with the revolver.

BUT, I have had and used this holster constantly for maybe 10 or more years. Maybe time for a replacement. I liked it fine when I got it. Shoot it might be 20 years ago that I got it!

I carry my Shield 45 anytime I'm going into town. Today while mowing I had my 351 PD on my hip with a couple of 22 WMR shotshells loaded up first.

I'll likely be carrying my DW Guardian 38 super over the cooler months when a jacket covers better. But I do really like my Shield 45. 😉
