What are you doing today that you would not be doing if not for C19?

Years ago, literally, I would get out out LPs and sit on the floor playing songs from a variety of artists..Mrs called them DJ nights...haven't done it in probably 10 years....tonite I opened a turntable I bought 6 years ago and am sitting on the floor playing records...the night would just slip away when we used to do that....

I got paid to stay home. I got the 11 year old boy up and running on his "distance education" as I believe it is now called (online classes). Worked on the pool, worked on a work project related to C-19, paid bills, went to the hardware store, worked in the garage and read up on several gun related topics. Next up is doing some maintenance on my jerkbait bass reel.

It was a good day!

On a day like today I'm wanting to be down by the beach or river listening to some music. Fishing would be a good way to start a day like this too. It's beautiful out.

All of the venues are closed for business. My musician friends are going nuts without income. I have zero work in the shop. I can survive this but it's still life changing and not for the better at this stage of my life.

Prayers sent for all.

I woke up early just to go grocery shopping so I could take advantage of the high-risk-people-only hour (I'm in the high-risk group). Normally I would've just gone whenever I felt like it.

Also, for the past couple of weeks I've been working from home instead of going in.

Instead of going for walks at the mall, which is closed (except for restaurants doing take-out/delivery), or hiking trails, which are now busy because everybody else is hiking them, I'm going for drives so I can get out of the house every once in a while without interacting with people.

Instead of eating out, I occasionally order take-out, which is something I've rarely, if ever, done before.

Instead of going to the movie theaters, I watch movies at home.

No visits to the shooting range since all the ones near me are closed (last time I checked).

Otherwise, I'm typically a home body so not much else has changed.

I have been spending hours planning and making dinner... and surfing here of course... it is getting a bit stale... and we have weeks to go... if not months, sadly... I need to get back to working and earning my keep... zero income will eventually become a problem...

It’s not so much what I’m doing, it’s what I’m not doing.
We got good weather, ok, some wind.
I would like to be on the move around the Corners.
Here’s the Three Rivers Petroglyph Site.
Look East and see Sierra Blanca, tallest mountain in SE NM.

Helping to home school my grandson who has autism. His special school is closed. We folded laundry, did a phys. ed session and went for a bike ride in the neighborhood. (Him riding and me jogging alongside to help as needed.)

As I've said in other threads, my life hasn't required that many adjustments.

But what would I not be doing if not for the Coronavirus?

I certainly wouldn't dress up like the Unabomber for a run to the pharmacy. ;)

Still working so washing my hands so many times at work that my skin is cracking. Starting to use lotion after washing and sanitizer. Had to stand in line at lunch to pick up 2000 primers. Enjoying the hour drive each way to work with very little traffic.
