Hello folks. Who do you like and watch on Youtube when it comes to gun content? I like Hickok45 because he talks to you. Does no do the macho tacticool thing, does not cuss every other word, and the guy can freakin’ shoot with a gunnrange we wish we all had.

Paul Harrell. This guy is like the Mr. Rogers of guns. He teaches, talks with education, does not cuss or do the tacticool thing, and keeps politics out of his videos. I like his 38 special videos.

To help me learn how to use my Lee Loader I found a video by 314299 Shooting Channel.

I really do not care for gun videos that push agenda, politics, brand X guns stinks, or you are nit a real man or gun guy if you....., etc.

What are some of your favorite gun people on Youtube?

All around favorites
TFB- such an assortment of hosts that anyone can find something good to watch on TFBtv.
Lucky Gunner-very informative with good production values. No mall ninja garbage

2nd Tier favorites
Paul Harrell- long winded but good info
Forgotten Weapons- Ian will forget more about guns than I'll ever know.

Ballistics testing
Shootingthebull410
TNToutdoors
The Chopping Block

I appreciate some of the YankeeMarshall's videos. Some are great, some funny but he also tends to get stuck on rants.

Hickock45 does some good work but sometimes his folksy "charm" gets tiresome.

Gunblue490 has some very interesting videos, many are educational to me. I like his calm demeanor and his rather vast knowledge of so many firearms and their history. Hickok45 is entertaining and watching him has helped me with my shooting. What a neat range to have at your own house.

Paul Harrell is also educational, although with a very dry sense of humor. He's a great shot too. Sometimes I'm in the mood for some goofy videos like Demolition Ranch. Plinkster 22 can hold my attention for a couple of videos. A few others I can't recall at the moment....... Oh yeah, Lucky Gunner is good.

Aside from some of the ones already mentioned...

T.Rex Arms is a channel I just recently started getting into. They can get a little "tacticool", but for the most part he does some good reviews, offers good tips, and he's just a very skilled shooter.

Ernest Langdon has plenty of really good videos on his channel, especially if you're into DA/SA guns.

I enjoy Taran Tactical's channel for the, um, educational content. Yeah.

I think the channel is called FourGuysGuns, hosted by not-Mark-Wahlberg (:D). They have some good, no-nonsense reviews, and are often funny/entertaining, too.

Kirsten Joy Weiss has a pretty good channel. She does a lot to promote the shooting sports. Her channel has a lot of videos of her doing trick shots or extreme marksmanship challenges, as well as tips for newbies or more experienced shooters. She's also done a few videos with R. Lee Ermey trying out different guns.

I will often watch videos with Larry Vickers, either on his channel or videos he's done for other channels.

Hickock45 Shoots a lot so I can make my own decision on more than just his review.
Forgotten Weapons since I like the history aspect. On Amazon Prime Ian has compilations of shows. WWII, British, lever actions etc.
Didn't know about Harell. Must have a look.

I rarely watch.....but on those occasions that I do it's Hickock45.

He's down to earth and shoots a lot of different firearms.

Seems most of the other folks are "to full of themselves" for my taste.

I watch many of those already listed, but Kentucky Ballistics has not been mentioned. Its a good and entertaining channel. More of a quick hit style with gelatin testing and object shooting. Scott, the KB guy, has a good persona for this type of thing.

Many criticize paper gun publications nowadays, but paper publications are edited by professional editors and many of the authors (whether you like them or not) are really bonafide, recognized experts. They have real credentials. Of course, not all fit in this category. You're not likely to get articles published if you're a second rate author with poor material and little experience, though a few slip under the wire now and then.

There is probably some good stuff on YouTube, but much of it's not. And anyone can be a "self-anointed expert" without being an expert at all. What's really frightening is the number of people that attempt to get a handloading education on YouTube, something that can be dangerous. But, they save the price of a handloading manual.

Hickok45 and Sootch00. I don't get into the tacticool stuff but sootch00 is entertaining and he leaves in the outtakes at the end.

If I'm curious about a specific model I might watch H45... I'm jelly of his back yard range!

Mostly gun specific instructional videos are what I watch.

No real interest in tac-bearded, tac-tatted clowns in badboy shades teaching me how to "operate." I'm too old, fat & slow to "operate." :D

Gunblast, Harrel, Hickok45 and there are a couple others that give fairly good reviews that I enjoy watching.
I really enjoy cowboy quick draw competition videos. The blond is just awesome to watch. No sight aiming, they just draw and hit the target darn near every time. Unreal how fast they are.

Forgotten Weapons. “Hi, GUYS. Thanks for tuning IN. I’m IAN...”. Normally up talking annoys me but big deal with this guy. I like him so who cares. I like Hickok45 because he’s just a big kid having fun which I can relate to.

Sometimes I'm in the mood for some goofy videos like Demolition Ranch.

Those guys are goofy, but entertaining.

When I'm not in the mood for serious, I also like these guys:

Hickok45 is my favorite, though, of course.

I've watched Tundra Tactical before. Some of their videos can be funny, but after a while I started getting annoyed with them and stopped watching.
