I can't seem to find them anywhere --- out of production? Anyone able to tell me where to find a stainless steel screw to replace the OEM blued grip screw?

I have been looking for a replacement Uncle Mikes J frame boot grip for a couple of weeks now with no luck. What is everyone using now for a compact rubber grip?

Hogue Bantam Grips, midwayusa, $14.79

They're on sale right now. Paid $18.49 for a set a few months ago. They're on my 342 AirLite Ti and 642-1. No problems with pocket or ankle draw, no snagging and a more positive final grip imo. I've found that nice looking expensive grips shoot the worst comfort wise. ymmv.

I see them all the time on the auction sites.

I've got a pair I'll let go for $395 and I'll throw the minty model 37 in for free! :D

Uncle Mike's grips

My 642-2 came with that grip and I have not taken them off. To me, and from most of the posts I read they really absorb the recoil nicely.
The S&W website has a rubber grip for this gun and I'm not sure who makes them but they seem to be a little glossier than UM's.
Check out their site and give them a look see.
Hope this helps.

I have those grips on all my carry snubnoses. Just after I heard they were going out of production I found a deal on a bunch of them on closeout at a Gander Mountain. I have enough to outfit several more snubnoses, if I acquire such.
The only people who have gotten some away from me are my children.

Although I might get spanked for this, I have two sets for sale right now.

These grips don't fit my hands at all, so when I get a J frame that has these grips the first thing that happens is they get removed and thrown in the parts box.
