What caliber is your big bore carry gun? If you have one.

What is your everyday big bore carry caliber?

I don't regularly carry anything larger than 9mm so I have no dog in this fight. I do have a 44 Magnum but never carry it in town.
Poll Fail.

It would be interested to know what percentage of people carry .40 and larger. So .38 or smaller should have been an option. I am a Retired LEO and even though my PD issued .40s and .45s about 90% of the retirees carry a 9mm or a .38.

Since when are .38 Special and 9mm considered Big Bore?

Besides, everyone knows 9mm is the most popular carry round on Earth, so the results would be entirely predictable.

Good question!
In my mind, "big bore" denotes a caliber that starts with the number 4.
Anything less is NOT a "big bore". :)
FWIW, that isn't to say that smaller calibers aren't a viable choice for carry, only that they aren't "big bores".
As always, YMMV....

My Colt 1911 Classic, seen here with my S&W Model 27. It’s a pretty big hunk of steel to lug around, but I’d say it’s at least a tie with my Glock 19 as the pistol I shoot most accurately.
