Jay Leno has enough classic cars to fill a warehouse.

Wanting to avoid the appearance that I was copying Mr. Leno, I sold my collection of low milage Dusenbergs, Bentleys, Ferraris and Lamborghinis, and have gravitated to accumulating vintage scopes in good working condition.

What other than Guns and Ammo is expanding to fill your available space.

Reloading "stuff"

I used to collect "accumulate" old hurricane (oil) lamps. I have all kinds of shapes sizes, glass and metal.

At one time I had just under 200 watches.Ironicaly I sold most my collection to pay off a bad business venture.I still collect watches but mainly Tool watch divers these days.I like to accumulate pocket knifes, and old coins.

You know those 34 oz mugs that most of the convenience stores used to carry? Several years ago I started collecting them. I tried to have a few ground rules for myself so that the "collection" wouldn't get totally out of hand. They all had to be Aladdin brand mugs, among other things. I would see a mug I didn't have & would ask the owner where they got it, & off I'd go. I have nearly 300. I don't bother with it anymore because the styles have all changed. Well, that's my little bit of mania!

It was watches for me too. Accumulated a few Seiko and Citizen divers models from the past. Did not realize what a market there is for some of the vintage Seikos on E-Bay. Ended up selling a few and nearly tripled my money for old models I purchased in 70s and early 80s.

Old computers that I swear I'll use for parts or repurpose, but never do. :o

On the plus side, I have been losing some of that waistline. :D

Knives..................I can't resist a knife that is "different" or "interesting"...

I bet there are close to a hundred of them on my shelves, in drawers, in frames, etc.

Lately, sons-in-law.... two more this year. But my wife and I are now empty nesters, so there won't be any more.

Kidney stones. Started 2 years ago and had them removed, seems like theyre back. Sitti g here hurting right now. Gonna see a doc as soon as they can get me in.

We love snow crabs. The last three times we went I had some allergic reaction. After the second one I guessed shell fish allergy. We went again a few days ago, I thought maybe it would be different this time and it was 10 times worse.

So my wife the RN gathers all my symptoms and comes up with uric acid caused stones. And alcohol is a no no. I dont drink much but at the red lobster I get the biggest margarata some times 2.

After her research, a couple of the worst offenders in this uric acid kidney stone things are shell fish, alcohol all kinds of meat but deer was not on the list. It looks like my diet may be low sugar fruit, I like this, some veggies, grass and dirt.

All I know is the older you get the tougher one has to become.

I have a thing for nice stag handled knives, and quite a bit more cameras and lenses than I need. Who knows, 35mm might come back some day, and I'll be sitting pretty.....
