What do you accumulate besides Guns, Ammo and Waistline?

I forgot to add to my list..even though I only have 2 of them.
I started to collect last wills of famous people. They are really interesting to read. So far I have Rick Nelson & Steve Reeves.

Steve McQueen, Charlie Chaplain & Bruce Lee are next on my list. And they don't take up much room which is nice. I like collecting things that take up very little space..and I can put them in my safe.

Broccoli, so it is not a total bad deal. Seriously do you have to avoide the fortified products with extra vitamin D?

I have to limit foods with oxalate to 40/50 mg per day. I like broccoli, but I also like cauliflower and can have that, so I'm ok with that. Have to limit Vitamin C too, as my body may turn that into oxalate. I don't take Vitamin C supplements, so that may help. I take 5,000 IU of Vitamin D per day, but I don't see a limit on that in the material I got from the Dr.

Also some of the material I received contradicts each other, so overall I guess I just have to eat whatever in moderation, which is actually healthier for me.

I have more fishing poles and gear than I can ever use but some was my dad's. I have several old Mitchell 300 reels and several other old reels. I love fishing and old cars. I have a '42 Chevy that is a collection of parts from 3 cars, a '74 Nova for suspension and brakes, a '76 Olds 98 for the Turbo 400 and a '70 Olds 96 for the 455 and a '57 Chevy truck radiator. I enjoy making parts fit my car and figuring how to build it as cheap and safe as possible with a very small budget. It is mechanically done, new brakes, brake lines, wiring, hoses and heater/ A/C system. Lots of cosmetics to finish like paint and interior but I would drive it cross country. I have about $5k in it and most of that was paying someone to modify the suspension to add the '74 Nova suspension, it handles like a sports car. It is lowered 5 inches and has anti-sway bars and will handle the twisty roads like a Corvette. It also gets from 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. Here are some pictures of it and some of successful use of my fishing gear, a nice Steelhead and one of the keeper Sturgeon I caught with dad and my brother a few years ago. So no real collections but these are some of my other interests. I used to have three or four classic cars but my bad back and money made me get down to one real old car and my daily driver a '87 El Camino with 68k miles on it. Cars, fishing, hunting, camping and exploring the outdoors are my other main interests. Thanks for reading

I'm glad the question used the word "accumulate". I've never been a serious, structured collector but I've been through a lot of phases over the years--stamps, cameras, knives, old fishing stuff, old locks and keys. Believe it or not I have a large accumulation of old American made pencils. It's really hard to find a good pencil these days. Anybody have any Black Warriors they want to get rid of?

At this point it's mostly high quality old tools and books. I've got a ridiculous amount of both. Many of the tools get used and the books get read. No idea how many tools I've got but at last count three years ago there were over 1200 books. A lot have been added since. I can't pass a thrift store or estate sale without a book/tool cruise.

I've been dealing with my folk's estate since my father passed a few months ago. This experience has led me to moderate my accumulating. I feel sorry for the poor soul that has to deal with all my stuff.

I play guitar about as good as I shoot, and while I don't have enough money to collect guitars, I have lots of pedals. Some are classics, some are cheapos, and some are hand made by a friend of mine. The most recent is a looper that I designed, and he built for me. I can't believe I don't have any photos handy.

My second post in this thread. I just took a couple photos of a couple new acquisitions. These are post Spanish American War hat / coat racks with mirrors. Copper wash on pressed tin with a wooden backing. All three have the central theme of the Battleship Maine. Two have their original mirrors and one is a recent replacement. The one with the new mirror has been in the family for 50 - 60 years.

Well this is my 2nd post on this forum, why not make it personal, lol. I seem to be accumulating tattoos. It's actually kind of funny, when I was 15 I was talked into getting a rose on my thigh, and I spent years regretting it. I went through a divorce around 30ish and decided I wanted a tattoo. Now I have 7 and am hitting 40 soon. Most are shocked to hear I have any tattoos(I was very thoughtful in placement), and are even more shocked to hear my age. Family joke is I'll be 50, still being carded for a drink at dinner. I don't intend to get anymore tattos, so I guess I am looking for a new addiction.
