What do you accumulate besides Guns, Ammo and Waistline?

I have a bunch of Telegraph keys and sounders, insulators, four bicycles, and a bunch of WWII Web gear & helmets. Almost forgot I also have some bayonets.

I cant believe that nobody has admitted to collecting------------------dings. :p:D

Bamboo flyrods. Doggone things have a very fertile relationship with the S&W's in my safe.

I currently have 33 nice guitars, 6 old tube amps and a boatload of old guitar effect pedals. Along the way I have amassed quite a few old tubes as well.

I have more than a handfull nice swiss watches, but I really don't call it a collection because I regularly wear most of them.

At one point I had a fairly substantial coin collection and a pile of Franklin Mint type stuff. Much of that is long gone to finance other collections, etc.

I used to also have a very fine collection of pool cues. I sold most of them in a lump sum deal to a chap from Canada a few years ago. He wanted them really bad and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

I have 3 Nikon camera bodies and 12 nice lenses (not to the extent of loutent's lovely glass)

I have 2 Pontiacs, again, not really a collection. They are our summer toys.

Kidney stones. Started 2 years ago and had them removed, seems like theyre back. Sitti g here hurting right now. Gonna see a doc as soon as they can get me in.

We love snow crabs. The last three times we went I had some allergic reaction. After the second one I guessed shell fish allergy. We went again a few days ago, I thought maybe it would be different this time and it was 10 times worse.

So my wife the RN gathers all my symptoms and comes up with uric acid caused stones. And alcohol is a no no. I dont drink much but at the red lobster I get the biggest margarata some times 2.

After her research, a couple of the worst offenders in this uric acid kidney stone things are shell fish, alcohol all kinds of meat but deer was not on the list. It looks like my diet may be low sugar fruit, I like this, some veggies, grass and dirt.

All I know is the older you get the tougher one has to become.

My kidney stone was calcium oxalate. Dr. gave me a list of foods, items, I either have to stop eating or eat in moderation. I can have beer, but no dark or heavy beers like Guiness, just the lighter ones. Pepper, salt, Romaine lettuce, Broccoli, peanut butter, chocolate, Ovaltine, chocolate milk, tea are just some of the things I need to avoid for the most part. No Tofu either.:D

Broccoli, so it is not a total bad deal. Seriously do you have to avoide the fortified products with extra vitamin D?

As far as firearms go I have centered my recent collecting to U.S. Martial long arms. I have rifles from just prior to the Civil War up to including WWII. My latest is a U.S. Springfield .30-40 Krag 1898 rifle.

Now I find myself looking to bayonets, canteens, web gear and so on. I also have an extensive collection of history books on CW to WWII as well as a few biographies. The book collection takes up about 25 feet of shelves in my den.

Steel pressed construction toys from the 40's - 50's made by Doepke was a past interest and I still own all that I collected. These were serious sand box toys in their day.

Oh, yeah. Besides CPU's, I also collect post 1980 S&W revolver serial numbers, ship dates, and the info on box end labels. It's been a fun and useful hobby. Especially when guys are looking for help with date information for their revolvers.

I've have thousands of ship dates and s/n's and so far this hobby has cost me exactly zero dollars. (I expect to recover that fully, should I ever decide to down size). ;)

I'm always on the look-out for post 1980 box label information. So, if you have one, start a thread, post a pic, or send me a PM. Newbie or old timer, anyone can play.

I have a rather large collection of old crate labels. This is one of my favorites mainly because it has a bunny, and it is silly and makes me smile. I have a small collection of vintage ceramic bunnies too. I also have a humongous stash of beads, pearls, stones, and swarovski crystals from when I used to make jewelry. Hopefully I will have time for that again.

I used to collect lables too,but sold off that colletion long ago for lack of space.

Many of the produce names are quite funny and a lot of the labels have really great artwork too. I haven't purchased any for several years but I really like the ones I have.

Most of mine were Ralston and like products. Oh and oatmeal labels too. Anything showing western heroes and such.:)

I have collection of braces. My wife says I have a brace for nearly every part of my body... I guess I've just hurt myself a lot.
I also have a rag tag collection of knives and cameras.
