My uncle has a ton of this NIB in his basement, he had a large TV sales-repair shop in Indianapolis. He sold out and brought it to his basement. It's for sale.....
A lot of motorcycles, more of an accumulation than a collection: Airhead BMWs, Guzzis, East European 2-strokes, 650-class dual sport bikes and other miscellaneous dirt bikes and dual sport bikes, down to one old Triumph. My first handguns were CZs, to go with some CZ dirt bikes.
Three-speed English bikes, mostly Raleighs, a Triumph, a couple of Bianchis (not English, obviously, but with Sturmey-Archer hubs) and a Hercules.
Dust and dog hair.

Dashiell Hammett writings, Dirty Harry paperbacks, Nero Wolfe DVD's, Columbo DVD's, whatever I can purchase 'Hard Case Crime dot com' paperbacks, all the Ian Fleming books (not the screenplays in print), the original big yellow Kodak photography series books, all the Kim Harrison Rachel Morgan series, the Robert E. Howard stories, all the Robert Parker books - outside of the 'Spencer' series.

Manual typewriters. Pride of my "collection" is a Corona "Skywriter". Absolutely filthy, but never used. Go figure. Need to take it to Shopmier some day.
Also shorthand books: Gregg, Pitman, Palmer, Parker.
Would love to collect rotary calculators, but that's way too expensive.

I collect WWII militaria, mostly German stuff, it should not need saying that I am NOT some kind of neo-Nazi, and I do NOT agree with the ideology, but I do feel that it it important to remember history, and I do like the styles of the German WWII dagger, and some of the medals and badges.
I have always been a fan for the "Iron Cross" shape, be it WWI or WWII.
I try to do a theme sometimes, like a German WWII Police group.

I salute you sir for safe keeping these items. Many would think that they are to glorify that era. I like you agree that they need to be kept to remind people of that age in our time.
Not to turn it political but I called Eric Canter's office today about his comments about a Republican who is an re-enactor running for congress. Seems he made the 1st Amendment error by wearing an SS uniform.
If we do not embrace, collect, and hold history and remember it will repeat it self. I'm also in VA. IM me if you would like. I would love for my son (9yrs old) to see your collection.

I used to be really into collecting car brochures. I still have a pretty good collection of Cadillac stuff. I'm also into the police patch thing, working in Manhattan I run into patch traders from everywhere. And NYPD stuff, like die cast models, t-shirts, Smith & Wesson revolvers...

My wife is from Fredericksburg .. well Spotsylvania county really ... and we lived there for several years after I got out of the Marines. Her grandfather worked for the RF&P as a baggage handler from the time he was a teenager till he retired.
One of her aunts had the baggage wagon that he used on the docks ... bells from trains ... a clock and a lot of other stuff alll from the RF&P. Unfortunately it all sort of vanished a couple of years back.
I really enjoy anything railroad and / or baseball related.
Maps, foreign coins, and old postcards. Not into any big time but I am always one the lookout for good buys. The coins are almost a family heritage. I have a small cache of older coins handed down from an uncle who served as a radio operator in the merchant marine during and after WW2. I keep adding to it as I find them though most are newer.
The maps I just love to pore over. They are mostly state forest or trail maps. I've also picked up older highway and military maps at sales.
The post cards I got into one year when looking for something to give out as x-mas gifts to my brother and sisters. I found some old black and white cards taken of the small town where we grew up. The cards dated to the early 1900's and showed familiar buildings. Managed to get them for 2-3 bucks apiece and mounted them in some inexpensive, matted frames bought at Kmart. They went over great and it sparked my oldest sister interest in it as a hobby. She has quite a collection now. Unfortunately, since my initial purchases, prices have shot up 10 fold and more.

I was offered a working Altman Taylor Thrashing machine for free back in the mid-80's. Only thing was I had to promise to keep it in an enclosed building and never sell it.
I had no such place, and it ended up at his estate sale a few years later, going to a guy who flew in from CA just to bid on it.
I was born in Mansfield, Ohio, where they made these things. Do you have one of their watch fobs?

Old working decoys, waterfowl prints, 60s recurve bows.
Since I am an only child and on one side, an only grandchild, I don't collect, I inherit. Too bad they weren't into guns. But I do collect dust.
