I think you're missing a larger point here. If we'd just end this pointless war on drugs, and legalize these substances for those who wish to use them (and tax them, too- a great source of much-needed revenue), instead of stigmatizing drug users as some sort of "criminal," then everything would have been okay. None of this would have happened. It would have all been just fine. It's all you uptight people imposing your strict moral code on other people. If someone wants to get high on PCP, that's their business.

Those were my thoughts exactly. Drugs are a victimless crime, don't you know. Just legalize it and all this nasty business will go away.

Actually, for some particularly heinous crimes, I support burning at the stake.

Let him die slowly, alone, away from the possibility of any sympathy or help.
Come back the next day. Remove what's left, and bulldoze a layer of fresh soil over the scorch mark.
Not a charred stone to indicate what happened, so some sob sisters can't make the site into a memorial against the death penalty.
He just disappears. Totally.
He dies alone and is buried unmarked.
And the same for the dealers who manufactured or provided the drug.
I'm not a cold-hearted psycho. I'll release a spider outside, and won't tolerate anyone abusing an animal of any kind, but humans have Choice.
He chose to take drugs. He chose to embrace a lifetyle that encourages murder, thievery, mayhem and degradation.
So let us choose to make his last few hours of Life filled with terror and agony. His support of drugs has done no less to others for many years, no doubt.

Some of the responces to this one have been bothering me since I first saw them five hours ago. I aggree that,assuming he's guilty(and it sounds like that's a safe assumption),this guy needs to depart this world and face his eternity.What I disagree with is the call for torture.What purpose would tortureing him to death serve except to turn us into the same type of sadistic monster he is?
I'm not trying to start any s#!^ here but the man who could really do some of the things suggested here scares me almost as much as the guy we are talking about.
Execution in a workmanship like manner-a needle,a bullet or a tall tree and a short rope and I could aggree.Execution by torture,no.

The 'father' should be incarcerated. He should then be made to donate his eyes to his son, a kidney, a lung, pieces of his liver and other organs to deserving people. At least he will pay a small measure of his 'debt' to society. When he can no longer aid society, he should be put to death, humanely of course.

I was being saracastic about 'humanely'. I thought being a live organ donor was a good idea, at least he could actually help someone.

You've got some good points to ponder. I've considered them myself some. My problem is this:
I don't have a problem with guys who kill someone during a robbery, for example, meeting a quick end. With things like treason you can do whatever you want with the guy. People who abuse animals? I don't care what you do to them. But people who horribly abuse kids? I'm tired off it. If I could even go one month without hearing about a little kid being beaten or starved to death in the San Antonio area I'd be thrilled. Its epidemic, and suprisingly few of the guys (and gals) who do it get the death penalty. Not that the death penalty does any good. It is hidden behind walls and only reported on the nightly news or newspaper. Do you figure the PCP head who ate his kid's eyes watches the news or reads a newspaper?

I guess if I was a good Christian I'd find a way to forgive the guy; but try as I might, I've never been a good Christian. I know the rules forwards and backwards, and for the sake of my girls we go to Sunday school and church every week. There is a reason I've never been baptized though, much to the chagrin of the pastor. Until I can learn to forgive guys like that, there is no use in it. I haven't given up trying though, neither has the pastor.

People make a big deal about how guys like that are treated in prison, but I wonder if it is still that way. Maybe in the 1950's, but now prisons are full of guys just like them. However guys like that meet their end, every one should know about it, and the terror of it should chill them to the core. I'll bet this guy walks out of prison within 20 yrs.

For everyone that wants to torture him/her/them, one method that I recall from an English history class many years ago was to tie the vic into a chair with a hole cut into the seat board. The chair was suspended by ropes and had an iron spike that protruded through the hole as weight was added to the vics lap, impaling them through the rectum. Another method would be "Water boarding"? Only skip the water and use something REALLY nasty, like sulfuric acid. Not in a concentration high enough to burn through the skull, just strong enough to let them receive the same effects that the child was subjected too.

The two that produced this child, and no I won't call them a parent, mom, dad or anything of that nature, deserve a verrrry swift trial, followed by a public execution by whatever is the prescribed method of the judge/jury/state. Hanging, firing squad, gas chamber, lethal injection, or electric chair, I don't care. Just do it swiftly after the trial, no appeal, no twenty years on death row, just swift justice, plane and simple. The only thing I would change would be that they should be gagged and forced to look at a before and after photo of the child immediately before the execution.

I say life in prison, not because it is nice, but because it is hell, he has done something unthinkably brutal to a child, and he will FOREVER be locked in a room full of men who have children out there and just like a child molester reminds them of what they can't protect their kids against, therefore ROYALLY angering them, and he will be brutally beaten nearly daily, if not stabbed after they are tired of beating him to very near death. I have a mom and former stepdad that both worked at a corrections facility and they let beatings like this happen day in and out to people like him, and believe me this is the same with most guards. Death is to nice, let him remember what he did to his son and rot for it but in the meantime a couple trips to the E.R. ain't such a bad thing either
