What do you think about a 180gr RNFP in a J-frame?

Assuming that you're looking for a self defense cartridge, the Buffalo Bore std. pressure 158 gr. semi-wadcuter gas checked hollow point would be first on my list to try. 148 gr. wadcutters would work reasonably well too. Honestly, I think +Ps wouldn't hurt your model 60 and definately not when used in moderation.

I've shot the Buffalo Bore +P load out of my 2" model 64 with good results. It would really be a handful out of a j-frame though.

Oh, I'm sure they would be, so in all fairness I should tell all reader to consider the source. I shoot full house Remington 125 gr. .357s from my steel snubs.

Groo here
The idea behind the 200gr SP was that the bullet would go unstable
after hitting the target, this required about 600, 650 fps..
Remember this was before HP bullets and Keith's..
The load went away because it would not go through a car window
not because it did not work.
Dad had some originals that we shot in his M-36, They shot well
and kick was manageable but would not go through a 55 gal drum.
They should work better than most bullets at very slow speeds
and light kick conditions.
If anyone could- put them in jello or wet paper and advise
Just don't drive them too fast
