I had a What Ever moment today with my wife. She asked me to carry a box to the basement, to which I said Ok I'll take care of that when I get back from the gun shop. From her I heard What ever.
I assumed that meant ok do it when you get back. Well It did not mean you can do it later. When I returned 2 hours later she had gotten the box to the basement and on the shelf.
I asked why she took the box to the basement, she said because I wanted it done right then not when you gone done talking guns with the boys.
She got a bit hot under the collar when I said well you got what you wanted so what's the big deal and why are you pissed at me.
Evidently not a good choice of words. She said I wanted you to do it before you left. I said you didn't say that; you said what ever, and I assumed when you said that it could wait.
I done understand the female of the species. They never say what they mean or they expect you to read mines.
I will need and extra blanket to ward off the chill in the bedroom tonight.
She has gone to bed not I will try to sneak into bed now. Good night.

When I was going through my divorce, a good friend told me that while it was the most difficult thing I would ever go through, when it was over I would realize it was the best thing I had ever gone through...

Don't worry, she'll settle down and forgive you by Spring...maybe! :)

Carpriver,
I hear ya' brother.
Anyone who has been married knows what you are dealing with now.
Women are most assuredly a different animal than a man.
I've gotten into trouble for the same kind of (don't mean nothing)
moments as this one. All i can say is ride it out and use lots of
caution when choosing topics of conversation with her for awhile.

BUT, dang they look, smell, and taste good.

I need a good one myself. I am getting tired of being a player.

Maybe I need to settle down.

Maybe not... there are what 4 billion women on this odd planet?

They're all sisters, and they all have the same handbook.

I saw a picture of a bikini model once with a caption that said:
REALITY - No matter how good she looks here, somebody somewhere is tired of putting up with her !#%*.
:D :D

Nonsense, they always got some groveling dudes out there. Might be tired, but they put more than up with it.

We have all probably done this.

I am trying to tame a 32 year old now... we will see!

Yes indeed. Been there a few times over the past 25 years myself. But we're still together. Good times, bad times and silly times. That's marriage for you.

When the lovely & charming and I were first dating we had one or two of those commutations gaffs. I finally explained to her, I’m a man which means I’m barely house broken and I don’t read minds. Just tell me what you want and when you would like it done, OK. I also told her I don’t do pout, if there is a problem put it on the table and we can work it out.

She took me at my word and we haven’t had a commutation problem in 24 years.

I'd rather live alone than live on my knees.

When a man and his wife argue, the wife always has the last word...anything the man says after that is the start of a new arguement.

I saw an ad for an almost new motorcycle once. It described the bike pretty well. At the end of the ad was the statement "Apparently buy whatever the #*&%@% you want doesn't mean what I thought it meant."

The issue I have with women is they never forget anything. If you are having a discussion with a woman she will bring up things you did years ago.

The trick is to not keep them around that long.... :)

I know what you mean, we were married 50 years last Aug. & I still consider her to be on probation. Sometimes, she can be really great though, why I well remember once in 1989......................;-)

We have been married 45 years, we have a "What ever" moment everyone in a while. This morning all is well, we had coffee together and made plans for our anniversary on Monday. I am man and she is a woman that a good thing we just think differently which is a good thing.

A man was cruising down the highway on his motorcycle in California when he heard a booming voice saying "Son, pull over I want to speak to you". He pulled over and looked skyward and said "who is it?" The voive said "I am GOD. You have been exceptionally good and I want to reward you. What would you like as your reward?" The fellow thought a minute and said. "I would like a bridge to Hawaii. I went there once, but I am a bit afraid of flying and I would like to ride my bike there." The voice responded "That would take a huge amount of resources. It is a very selfish request. I am disappointed, but is there another request that isn't so selfish?" Then the man replied, "Well I would like to really understand women. Their moods and whims. What makes them tick." There was silence for a moment and the voice from above said "Do you want two lanes or four on the bridge?"

Doggone it man, haven't you figured out yet that any time a woman gives you a one word answer (especially "whatever") to a question the default (actually your fault) answer is:
1. Yes I meant right now.
2. Are you stupid?
3. Go ahead, but I'll be angry for a week.
4. How dare you even suggest that!
5. Just shut up, I'm done talking about it.
Pick the one above most appropriate to the conversation.

ETA:
Bonus tip, whenever a woman ask "What do you think?" ANYTHING said that disagrees with her thoughts on the matter is just suicidal, might as well go play in a mine field.

I have been married 38 years. Years ago I told my wife that I do not read minds and she wants me to do something, be specific. When she is vague, I deliberately ignore what she wants until she is specific.

You have to start training early and make sure that you are not the one being trained. You also have to realize that they use anger to control you and if you let them get away with it, you are going to have a miserable life. If she does not like the way I do something, I let her do it herself the next time.

Her anger can be useful. If i want her to shut up, I just make her mad.

Whatever might mean whatever next time....who knows....

Hi:
WELL, DOGGY!
If you are stiil able to read this (???) PLEASE let this be a LEARNING EXPERIANCE ! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER made this mistake again.
My advice is purchase flowers, candy (for her) and take Her out to dinner. RECEIPE FOR A LONG AND HAPPY MARRIAGE (and life span): Never say no to a Girl, ALWAYS let the Girl have her way and let Her buy what ever She wants.
Your Pal,
Jimmy (aka Wimp Man)

My wife and I have been married for 36 years. One of our constant problems arises from the use of the term, "I don't care". When I use the term, it means I DON'T CARE, as in, I don't care which carpet you pick or, I don't care what color you pick for the walls. This should be greeted as good new to her because it means she can pick anything she wants without a complaint from me.

On the other hand, when she says, "I don't care", it means the guessing game is about to begin. The conversation goes something like this:

Where would you like to eat?

I don't care.

Okay how about (name any restaurant)?

No.

Okay, how about (name any other restaurant).

No.

Well, if you don't like those, where would you like to eat?

I don't care.

Apparently this term has vastly different meanings to my wife and I :)

Hi, Joe Buddy:
Can I have your guns if your advice turns around on you ? ?
Jimmy

I'm to the point where I don't care. She can pout, throw things, whatever makes her happy. She's gonna do what she wants to do regardless of what I say, so I figure the same rules now apply to me. She don't like it, she can leave. I told myself when I was just a child that I would never be nagged at or griped at constantly. My grandpa lived like that. Apparently, it was payback for all the wrong he did in his past. Well, we can't change our past, and I'm not going to spend the rest of my life paying for it.

No idea how long you two have been together. I have been tied down... er, pair bonded for 28 years. Here's a tip or two.

1. When she says "Will you please do this for me?" remove "will you please" and the question mark. Then add "now" at the end. Any request is actually a command and the implied time frame is immediately.
