The height of the front sight suggests it most assuredly is not a K-22---more likely a K-38. On the other hand, if it says something like .22 Long Rifle Ctg on the right hand side of the barrel, then it sure enough is a K-22----with the wrong front sight installed. Another sure thing is it's not a Model of 1950 anything----they're larger, pretty much every place they have a place.

And hivel 37 gets the Eagle Eye award for this thread---or if not that, then an "attaboy" for paying attention----up until Mr. Green came along, that is.

If it is your gun, or you have access to it, letting us know the caliber stamp on the right barrel would be nice. :)

Just by production numbers, it is more likely a K-38 than a K-32 Masterpiece, made sometime in 1948. And if the knurled end of the extractor rod is larger than the rest of the part (along with a corresponding notch in the barrel bottom - hard to see in the photo) it is a fairly rare variation that was only made for a short time.

38 special. K38 it is. In my op I meant 1905 instead of 1950. Thank you all

Welcome to the forums from the Wiregrass! Well, that wouldn't be a Model 1905 in any case although that model is its ancestor as it is for all the M&P-like K frame revolvers. The Masterpiece series of target revolvers was an entirely new model separate from the M&P. They were uniquely crafted for target shooting and are the epitome of that genre. If you own the K-38 you pictured, congratulations!

Good looking Smith K Frame there! :)
My guess, edition as paralleling my pix below. Between .32 & .38... Going with the odds! Also perhaps with odds... That front sight as non-original or... "Rare Factory Variation" snake gun for dispatching targets less than a meter distance! :) :) :)
Best & Stay Safe!
