Hi
I am sure this has been asked many times before but I have never saw the question or the answer. Does the S&W 460 and the 500 have there own special grip or do they use one that fits one of the other frame revolvers. Any help on this matter would be much appreciated.

Thanks Graydog

If it is the same size as the K and L Frame, no, it will not fit an N-Frame.

Thats strange as I have 2 625's and a 627 with the X frame Houge grips on them. All of them are round butt.

Yea.. I always figured K, L, and N "fit" each other.. really depends on what you consider to be actually fit.

My M29 came with L frame grips. It definitely fit on the gun, but it wasn't as flush on certain parts as proper N Frame grips.. but definitely usable by all intents and purposes (some actually like that these grips are a tad smaller than natural N Frame grips).

I've heard/read many accounts of people having no issues with putting X Frame grips on their N Frame revolvers (most common are the Hogue rubbers that cover the backstrap to be put on 44mags).

Yellow & Orange HUA ?
Believe I'll stick with my BLACK factory S&W grips on my .500's & .460 ----------- (-;

I actually do like the Yellow ones but on a competition gun that gets handled a lot I think they would be hard to keep clean.;)
