I am returning to reloading after many years away.
My interest is mainly with the 32 H&R Magnum.
My guns are chambered for .327 Federal.
I expect to use the loads for many different activities ranging from plinking to hunting elephant.. not really but hoping to obtain a wide range of load data.

Would you please share with me one reloading data book that you have used for loads on both sides of 32 H&R, to include 32 S&W Long with 98-100 gr wadcutters up to 32 H&R Magnum with hot 100 gr. Jacketd hp. If this can not be limited to one suggestion, list 2.

And I think you.

I am hoping to buy 1 or 2 books.

If you are sure you will only want data for those two cartridges the Load Books USA One book, one caliber manuals are a good choice. they contain data from several of the major manuals, generally at least six. Here is a link to their web site: Loadbooks USA, Inc. Typically Lyman, RCBS, Speer, Lee, etc. Each of these other manuals data is contained in a separate section, but they are not identified as to the original source.

The Loadbooks are a single caliber, so you would need one for each cartridge. The only one I know that has two cartridges in it is the .40 S&W / .41 Action express book because they are so similar and often data is interchangeable between the two.

Otherwise one of the Lyman manuals would be a good choice.

For lead bullet loads ... Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4th Edition .

For Jacketed bullet loads ... Hornady Handbook of Reloading (latest Edition is #10 I think ) but get the newest .

The Speer Reloading Manual is a very good one also ...

I use all three when working up loads ... cross referencing data is good !
And ... You can't have too much reliable , published data ...
Some powders that aren't shown in one book will be in another .
Load Safe ,

Thank you, I will check those. Most of my books/guides are fairly old. That is OK except that it seems Unique, Universal and Bullseye powders are listed and now they are no longer available. And today there are new powder that they do not list. Even bullets such as the XTP did not exist when much of my data was made.

I plan to buy a Load Book USA booklet. Just a while ago I saw one with 519 loads listed and another that the cover said 610 loads....so I want the latest and greatest. I also hope to get the Lyman book.

Lyman #50 does OK. As a 32 H&R shooter there is not an overabundance of data out there. Many powders work, and there are many that fall between them in the burn rate chart that have no data whatsoever.
