What gun have you had the longest?

my longest owned would be a Remington 870 20ga featherweight (28ga frame) 28 inch modified.. purchased with my paper route money on my 14th birthday...August of 1980... still have it, the box & all the paperwork too... the one I filled out the paperwork myself on was a Remington Nylon 66 Black Diamond when I was 18...

My Winchester 1906 pump .22 it was my Dads he gave it to me when i was 12 still have it

The one I have had the longest is a J.C. Higgins 12 Ga, bolt-action which was my first firearm. Received at Christmas in 1959. It hasn't been fired for over 50 years but is still capable if I decided to.

Remington 550-II for my 15th birthday. Had five Jr. NRA awards, I suppose part of my lobbying to get out of air rifles and BB guns.
Heavy, but reliable. Shot anything I could get for ammo.
Still love it, scoped for Woodchucks now.

It's probably this Sheridan 5mm pump air rifle from the mid 60's but I also have a Revelation Model 100 single shot .22 rifle that's about as old. Revelation was made by Mossberg for Western Auto.

My 1983 Remington 1100 Tournament Skeet ( 12 ga. ). Still my dove gun. Don't have a photo of the entire gun, but have this photo of the buttstock. It shows the figured walnut, cut checkering, and deep blued finish not seen on an off-the-shelf gun these days.

Dad had his Browning 22 auto that I learned to shoot on.

When I went to Camp Kikthawenund for summer camp and
won best shot, Mom and Dad bought me a Browning .22 T-bolt rifle.

Later that year at Christmas, both Grandpas gave me the .22's Mom and Dad learned to shoot on. A Winchester M57 bolt action with a 5 shot mag and a Marlin .22 bolt action with a 10 shot tube mag.

The next year, the Grandpas gave me a 12 ga Eastern single shot (basicly a generic 12 ga that got sold at many Western Autos) and a Remington M11 (Browning Auto 5 under license) 20 ga. semi-auto.

Still got all 4 .22's and both shotguns. I feel that those guns made me a
damn fine shot, but Mom could out shoot me and my Dad. Dad loved to
show me up pistol shooting by hip shooting and hitting tin cans in the air
with my 1911 made in 1917. Especially since he preferred shooting the
revolvers he taught me on and didn't like shooting 1911's

Not my 1st but I traded all 4 of my guns for it in March of 1981. Model 66-1, 6" because 4" were unobtanium due to LE demand around these parts. Joe

This thread really made me think. I've had guns for a long time but which is the oldest. Turns out that is a Marlin 60 that I bought off a neighbor in 1974. I never really cared for the little rifle and I haven't shot it much but it has been with me the longest.

What I thought was the oldest is a Remington 700 VS in .25-06 but that Marlin has it by 4 years.

Thought I had photos but can't find them. Found them! The 700 now sports a Krieger stainless barrel.

My Winchester Model 67 single shot rifle. The first rifle my Dad entrusted to me in my youth. Used to take it camping with my friends and spent days plinking. Back in the day I put a surplus store sling on it. Only many years later did I find out that it was a sling from a Thompson SMG. Still on it.

1969...Mossberg 500 12 ga. pump...so old it only has one action bar. Had a 18.5" plain barrel but swapped it out for a newer 20" VR with screw-in chokes.

1974...S&W 53 6" with extra Rimfire cylinder..has been converted to .327 Federal.

1977...High Standard 101 .22 Magnum Derringer. BUG carried while in LE.

1980...Colt SUPER .38 made in 1969 and a Commander .38 Super made in 1952. Both carried while I was with DPD

1983...S&W 57 4"/blue made in 1980. Also carried while I was with DPD
