What handgun Lockbox?

I've thought about those. Then I quit thinking about them. My circumstances allow me to carry all the time. If its not on me its in the safe. If its on me I know where it is and isn't. I know this isn't possible for everyone but if it is I would keep the gun on you. In your home, out in the yard, at work, the grocery store, everywhere. If you can. I use a holster that is attached to a 1 x 4 that slides under the mattress at night. It is positioned between the mattress and the wall out of sight and access is pretty restricted. Todays world I believe requires us to be armed 24/7.

I have to consider how many bad guys I've sent to prison and the fact they don't stay in there very long. LOL

If it requires batteries, look at a different one. Mechanical locks are the way to go.

See no need for a lockbox for a bedside gun in my particular situation. If and when the time comes when I need a gun, I will need it NOW and won't have time to fumble with any codes, locks, dials or whatever. For me, it's bottom drawer 44 magnum, top drawer 9mm

So the 9 mm is for your run-of-the-mill, everyday, average-sized intruder, and the 44 mag is in case a really, REALLY large bad boy breaks in?

Which drawer you pull open depends on how loud that bump in the night is?

I think you need a middle drawer in your nightstand with a .22 LR. No sense shooting the occasional dwarf burglar with something bigger, messin' up the rugs and all...

A person I work and I with were discussing guns. He said he had a semi-auto in a lockbox under his desk, a JIC type of thing.
He wanted to show me but couldn't, the batteries were dead.

This was around noon, by quitting time he still hadn't gotten it open.

If you think you are going to need it quickly, and must have a case, get a mechanical one.
