It's a 38 M&P hand ejector from around 1920. JP@AK, DWalt or one of the other 38 M&P dudes will be along shortly to give you more accurate information.

Indeed, Guy nailed it. Early 1920, maybe March (+/-) is the most likely ballpark.
It does not yet have the 1920s non-medallion stocks, and the sideplate/frame S&W logo is still not present, both of which changed that year.
You might check the back of the right grip panel for a penciled matching serial number, although these have often become invisible.

Gentlemen, thanks for the information. I know there were nearly 1 million of these produced, but it would be neat to see what a factory letter reveals. I'm curious if this revo may have originally belonged to my great grand father. Grand father was born in 1914, so not likely the original owner. I know his family owned a general store in Chester, SC. I do remember this gun was a constant companion of my grand father when growing up. Grand mother constantly carried a .32 S&W. I'd love to know where that little gun ended up.
Most early common S&Ws shipped to distributors or to hardware stores, not to individuals. Of course, the choice to request a letter is up to you. Just don't get your hopes up too high.
