What holster has an extreme IWB forward Cant?

I heard this called either an "FBI" forward cant or "Extreme" cant.

I tend to push my IWB holster forward, but based on the design on the current holster(s), it always goes back. So I was piddling around online and found the FIST holster to have an Extreme cant. Are there others out there?

In an "Extreme" cant, the grip is almost vertical. I find this very easy and more comfortable to carry, with my body physique, vs. others that are more where the slide is near vertical, and the grip is @ a 45 degree angle.

What other holster companies should I look at, other than the ones where you have to adjust the cant via the clips or loops?

If you can find a Bianchi "Pistol Pocket" they can be adjusted to any angle you want.

By the way IIRC the FBI cant is only about 15-20 degrees.

OWB ..... a "Small of the Back" holster worn over the kidney (not the spine) is what you described.

Suggest you call one of the custom makers like Sideguard,
Lobo. Snubby Fan, etc. Tell them what you want and they
can probably make it.

I have the Bianchi holster , post #2 , it has a ratchet mechanisim built in so you can change the angle. Tighten the screw enough and the angle is fixed in place, leave the screw not fully tightened and you can change the angle while wearing it. When I drive I adjust the angle so it's comfortable , when I stand I adjust the angle so it is proper for standing / walking. It's a very neat concept and I like it.

The most extreme forward cant I've heard of is the Thomas Perfectionist IWB holster by Kramer Leather. However, as far as I know they're only made for full-size guns, if that's an issue.

You can also check out the Mike's Special IWB holsters by TT Gunleather, which have more forward cant than the typical holster. They have reinforced and unreinforced versions.

Looking back to Myres and Heiser we know that 1930s to 1960s the FBI angle was 35 to 40 degrees. In part this was to enable the 'sling draw'; Keith and others wrote about this during that period. Gaylord and Theodore used 60 degrees for the 2" snubs in the 50s and 60s! Today's ideal is about 24 degrees and is used by most makers. The Safariland paddle holster used by federal agencies today has a surprisingly small angle for concealment that perhaps as little as 15. Yet that angle would require it be worn well towards the belt buckle as we see on TV shows.
