You know, I hear that phrase a lot. It comes across like there is a body count out there. Maybe the phrase ' What I Carry For Self Defense, But Hope to Never Need It' might sound a bit better. This excludes of course foe like mad dogs, zombies, rabid wild animals and other treachorous critters. But 'What I Use' for self defense makes it sound like you have been in to many bad places, I hope not. I carry myself, a Colt DS w/38 +P that are over 10 years old ( I know there old, but I also shoot 45 year old M2 ammo in my Garand and have never had a missfire) and hope I never have to 'USE' them either.

Just some to think about when you talk defense ammo.

Nothing. That's what I carry. This is probably the wrong place to say that but I just don't feel the need.

I can only remember two times in which I carried a gun because I thought it might be handy to have if things went South and one of them was through a commercial airport, so that let's you know how long ago it was. Haha, a 7 1/2" Blackhawk in .45 Colt stuck down the back of my pants. None too comfortable but I had nothing else.
