This is, or was, a genuine U.S. Military patch. Can anyone besides me identify it? No prize, just my undying admiration at possessing such arcane knowledge.

19th Squadron USAF Academy 1960's. USAF Patch collecting was a thing of mine some years ago. Still have nearly 1000 of them squirreled away - mostly from the 60s-70s.

This was entirely too easy. I thought it would take a day or two. Either some really sharp individuals here or some great Google users, probably both.

Yes, 19th Cadet Squadron, USAFA. This was my actual patch 1966-67. How I managed to keep it all these years is nothing short of a miracle.

The patch was changed a few later because it was "politically incorrect". Not an actual term at the time.

The squadron nickname was Playboys. ;)

Yes, but that nickname predated the patch......Thanks for the challenge.

CATI1835......Thank you for your service

Speaking of politically incorrect, has anyone else heard the story about the 1979 USMA (West Point) class ring?

It's probably something to do with admitting women, like "last class with balls" or some such.
The VMI class of 2000, like every class, could design their own class ring, and they have the letters LCWB on their rings.

That's pretty close. Same idea, different letters.
