Just curious on the strength compared to each other.

As a park ranger advised hikers in grizzly country to carry bear pepper spray, make noise on the trails, and even sew small bells to your clothes, and learn to differentiate between black bear and grizzly scat . . .

"black bear scat will have berry pits, nut shells, and bits of fur of small animals; grizzly scat will have small bells in it and smell like pepper."

Basically it's the Scoville (sp?) Heat Units in the spray. Bears get more, they don't have defense/personal injury attorneys. Different brands probably have different ratings. Check the labels-although in many cases they just give % of OC, not the heat rating. Hint: pros using OC spray on humans have a cover officer with a gun JIC the spray doesn't work. What's your plan B with not so Gentle Ben?

"What Is The Difference In Human Pepper Spray And Bear Spray"

Size of the can.........?

Demonstrably not true.

From The Saber Red Website.

Pepper Spray Vs Bear Spray | SABRE

The difference lies within the strengths of the formulas. Pepper spray is designed to temporarily incapacitate a human attacker. Bear spray contains a higher concentration of the active ingredient – making it the stronger spray - and is designed to be shot at a further distance from the attacker.

I had an accidental discharge of bear spray in the consol of my truck not too long ago. Just the residue from a tiny little squirt was enough that I could feel it for weeks afterward just by grabbing my flashlight or anything from inside the box and then absent-mindedly touch my face. That stuff is serious!

Need to check on legality of it in your area.
In some jurisdictions it is not legal to carry.
Just something to keep in mind.

Most pepper spray sold on the commercial market is pretty weak compared to that sold for law enforcement. It's not referred to as "pepper spray" but "OC" spray...oleoresin capsicum...the active ingredient. OC spray is far stronger and intense...but I don't know the difference between it and bear spray. There must be a difference in the formula and container size. Most OC spray used in law enforcement is fairly small and light for belt carry along with all the other stuff an officer carries.

Sorry for the late reply and thank you. Actually, my concern is I take walks in the country and there bad dogs on every other property. I'm 6'2 280 lbs but getting old. Not sure I want to fight a dog anymore so I thought of pepper spray. Sorry, should have mentioned this from the get go. I don't carry a firearm on a walk but thought a pepper spray would do the job.

Just as with a sidearm, a secure, quick access holster is important with spray. I have UDAP brand. The textile holsters, IMO, if secure, are slow. Pocket carry is even slower.

Trust Me --
If you've got a reallly pissed-off bear on your hands, human spray, bear spray, bug spray, nasal spray, spray spray ain't gonna help.

So is there anything against using bear spray against humans????
Asking for a friend.
