What is the oldest Smith & Wesson you own? Here's mine. It's a .32 Safety Hammerless, 3rd model, AKA New Departure, AKA "Lemon Squeezer." It letters as having been made in 1921.

This is one of the converted 455 TLs mentioned in Supica's book. Shipped 12/29/17 to a large dealer in St. Louis it was one of 325 in the shipment meaning they likely bought all remaining units in inventory.
A circa 1864 Model 1 second issue .22 short tip-up. I'm at work tonight so I can't post pics. I'll try tomorrow. I've also got a couple circa 1867-68 Model 1 third issues. I've shot them all sparingly with .22 CB shorts and they shoot great!
Here is a 1870 or 1871 american. Was found in a old barn being tore down in montanna where there used to be a stagecoach stop. Sure wish I knew who hid it there and cut the barrel back!
This M&P 1905, First change is my oldest gun. The quality of parts fitting and wood to frame fit is the best of all my guns. I'm guessing it's around l907-08.
I have this crappy old dirty eight/.357 from 1935. I would love to have something like M-1911's above 2nd model break open jobber in trade for this piece of junk. Are you listening M-1911?
