What do you call the round metal piece on the inside of a S&W revolver medallion wood stock that keeps the piece from rotating on the grip? I have a J-frame that is missing one. Is there a source for replacements?

I've always called them "stock circles". There were several different types over the years. You can make one by slicing off a section of an appropriately sized dowel..

Thanks everybody. It can be hard to find information on things if you don't know the words.

Not so much with this bunch. I reckon the majority called them "stock circles"----I know I did; and then someone who's been there and done that comes along and gets all of us properly educated---whether we needed it or not. I dare say there's not much that isn't known here----by someone---and they're clearly glad to share.
