What is this 686-8?

I am really puzzled by a 686-8 listed on Gunbroker with a different cylinder release button and rear sight. The box says it is a 686-6. Are these custom parts or a new design?

Looks like a Millett rear sight. Never seen a cylinder release like that.

It's a competition setup with after market cylinder release and sight. I would bet the gun has had an action job, and has been shot a lot.

Thanks bama & Smith. The seller also responded that it is a 686-6 with custom after market parts added. I have never seen anything like this.
