Why can't I find them listed anywhere? Can I use a hybrid mix of 45 ACP and 45 LC dies? Is there a company still offering the dies I need? Is the 45 LC bullet ok for a Shofield in 250g?

Think of it as a shortened .45 Colt case.

Usually .45 Colt dies work just fine, at least my Hornady set does. It the same as loading .38's and .357's on the same set of dies.

You may have to get a different shell holder though, depending on your brass. The majority of modern .45 Schofield brass has a rim diameter the same as a .45 Colt, but if I recall correctly, some company made it with the original, larger diameter rim and as such, would require a different shell holder or plate, depending on the press.

My brass is Starline and has the large rim dia. I use a RCBS #4 shellholder. Not intended for this cartridge, but it works.
