This weekend at the OGCA there was a performance center gun a 3" bbl 357 7 shot no sights round butt and the frame was green and the cylinder (non fluted) was a black type coating. it was an L frame.
I would like to know what model it was as I was 60 seconds to late to buy it. and would like to know what model I am looking for or who has any for sale.

From the SCSW, it was most likely a 686 Carry Comp, except this model has sights and is not listed as green/black finished. If this is what you saw, it was probably modified. Factory customer service may also be able to give more details.

You saw a P.C. model 681 'birdsong' finish. Indeed a 7 shot 3" barrel
and black and green birdsong finish. I traded one last year to a forum member in California for a 696.
Neat guns ,really expensive. Maybe $700. to $800. in new condition.

Good luck finding one.

Allen-Frame is correct. I have one, but not for sale. There were several PC versions of the 681, all of them are pretty slick, rarely show up for sale, and when they do, they don't go cheap. Dave

I have one too! Rare as hens' teeth. It's one slick gun but worth a bit more than 700-800 bills. At least that's what Mr. Nahas said when I showed it to him at a gunshow here in VA last year (or early this year?). He said it was the first he had actually seen and asked if he could take some notes on the markings. No problem!
It's a slick little piece.

Thank you all

That was what I missed at the gun show I had made up my mind to buy it ,as It was pricey (I thought) at 800.00 in the case less than 1 box of ammo shot. I don't know for sure what the final price was only that it was less than the 800.00
original asking price. You snooze you loose!
Hopefully I will find another somewhere now that I know what I am looking for.
